Just an update on my application. When I called 9 days ago they said they just opened my app which was received April 30th. Since then I have not heard a word, no written AOR or approval. My Ecas started to work and says application received April 30th.. and that's all. It looks like there's a few still waiting, anyways!

Medical results have been received.

My husband send in the sponsorship appplications for spousal sponsorship in canada on 30th april 2012, i have checked the website and see CIC is working on the applications of that date.how long will CIC take to send the acknowledgement letter to my husband ,its quite a while and we r really mising each other

i would say this week they would move ahead with the applications and you would hear something. or if not then call them .
wait for another day or two and when they update their status and change the date for the application working on. just call them and ask what is happening with your application
just give a day or two. hope you will hear something very soon

It took about 3 or 4 days for Ecas to start showing "Application Received" after transfer to the VO. The status changed to "In Process" on Monday morning (today).

Strangely, Ecas has been showing "Medical Results Received" since my sponsor first received his AOR last month - before he was even approved as a sponsor. So I'm not sure what's going on there!

This is because the DMP sends the results right in and they are filed into the CIC database, once sponsorship is approved the number on the appendix C is matched with the primary application and is marked received, tho it's actually received before the application itself is even opened....
