Hello,

An update for the spreadsheet. We have, in a roundabout way, received AOR from our visa office (London) today. As we are Québec-bound, they have sent us an email advising to seek approval from the Québec government. We have already done this so there is no further action to take until we receive it. But good to know the VO has our package. Timeline: application was received April 19th, sponsor approval and file transfer on July 12th.

Thanks,
Emhub

Hey! didn't know that London sent AOR as well - I didn't get one, but I'm not going to Quebec... and your file was received a few days before mine, so maybe I'll get one next week. My Ecas says application received and medicals as well, so I guess that's good enough... now waiting patiently!

Good luck,
Sweden

Thanks to everyone for your support, we are so delighted!!! we still cant believe it, its quite shocking when you get to the point that you think its never gonna happen...those of you still waiting, hang in there and dont loose hope!!! I really know how you're all feeling but when you get that email its like the clouds have lifted and the weight has been taken off...

Hi all, thought I'd join the group here and try to keep current. I'm am American that has married a Canadian and am in the process of obtaining PR. I would like to be added to the spreadsheet if possible. Here is my info:

Family class
VO: Buffalo (Ottawa)
Meds done: April 16, 2012
App sent: April 19, 2012
App recv'd: April 24, 2012
Sponsor approved: July 20, 2012

Application is now being processed at CPP Ottawa.

Thanks! Good luck to all!

Also, I am curious if anyone has a guess at all to processing times in Ottawa? Buffalo is listed as 12 months for Step 2, are we assuming the same through Ottawa?

I'm also from the US going through Ottawa. Still waiting on my stage 1 approval though. I'm assuming that it's going to take the same amount of time, since nothing has been updated yet. Based on previous Buffalo applicants, they wait about 5-7 months after stage 1 approval. So I'd say anytime between this winter to the summer of 2013 is when we'd get approved.

I don't have much knowledge about the whole process though. Hopefully someone else here can give a better answer. :)

Also, congrats to all the April-applicants that got approved. It's nice to see so much blue on the spreadsheet. Just a few more of us left to go.

It would be nice to have this done by years end for sure. I am also seeking residence in Quebec which adds another step to the process and more money. Hopefully that does not slow things down.

For arguments sake, Ottawa is now Buffalo. Just before Buffalo closure, the processing time was 11 months. Since the applications were dispersed between Ottawa and the other US satellite offices, the time moved up to 12 months. Really hope it doesn't take any of us 12 months to get PR status tho!!
