Just called CIC call center and the guy told me that today they are opening envelops recd on 3rd April, so he can not tell me anything about my application which was recd on 19th April. He told me to wait 16 more days to call them. Before that day they can not tell me anything :-(

yes until the show working on the 19th or later they will not do much for you regardless of the number of days.....be patient should be less than 2 weeks....in the meantime watch and see here this forum is more reliable for the true standard of time of aor's and approvals!!!

I'm surprised to see how desperate I am to get news regarding that... everyday I was cheking several times in the mail box just in case i get something from CIC... Now at least I know that is coming... we are the next ones ... I'm pleased to have found this website that gives more accurate information & also friends that are on the same situation... Man, I am so ready!! That lifted me up seeing "next week is our week". I can't wait! Super excited...My last day of work for this contract is today...then holidays!! Going to HK and staying at the Marriott will be so great...I'm so dying for a break from the mainland...Oh, and my son, 8 months, is standing on his own without any help! Amazing!

Can anyone give me the phone number to call please? I posted my spousal sponsorship application to CPC-Miississauga on 5th of April and they received on 6th of April,2012.

I am also confused between AOR, UCI number and receipt number. Please clarify does CIC provide AOR or UCI or file number? What is the receipt number? Is this Canada post tracking number?
