Just to let you fellow april applicants know, I just called Immigration. Like everyone else, I could not view my application on ecas with my receipt number and I wanted more information. The lady from Immigration told me that my application was received April 3rd and that it is "in process" and was opened July 4th.

Hope this helps anyone else looking to know where they are in the process.

The lady from immigration also gave me my client id# when I phoned, but still can't log in until tuesday/wed next week according to her. So I guess I am not receiving an AOR just will get the approval (knock on wood).

That's great you got a client id!! At least now you can check ecas while you wait though, hopefully you get approval before Tuesday/Wednesday.

Just got off the phone with CIC and was able to get my client ID # too. Finally some peace of mind that CIC DOES have my app. It hasn't been processed yet, but at least they have it.

That gives me some confidence that if I screwed up not addressing the envelope correctly, then everyone else wondering if their applications made it positively did!

well - that's nice! since you have your client number they have probably already started working on your application, so you should hear from them very soon, that's great!

well there seems to have been 2 may applicants who have received aor's....so not really sure at this point!!!!!

I have my SO's client ID from our visitor visa application last year, can I log into ecas with that, or do I need my own client ID (I am the sponsor) for sponsorship approval

I just got off the phone with CIC agent and she told me that my application has not been opened yet.....but she advised that I can keep checking website by using my client ID that I got when I landed in Canada....just a piece of info for people who are waiting
