LoL I know the feeling, when I was waiting for AOR/Approval, I checked my email a hundred times a day, my co-workers thought I was crazy. Also I memorized the mailman's delivery times for my area, ( at the time I didn't know if it was going to be mailed of emailed ). So he found me standing at my door, most days ( when I wasn't working ) .... Creepy

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKES FOR THE VISA OFFICE TO ASK FOR PASSPORT REQUEST AFTER FILE TRANSFER? WOULD THEY MAKE THE REQUEST IF PERMANENT RESIDENCE PAYMENT HAS NOT BEEN PAID YET OR THEY WOULD ASK FOR THE PAYMENT MADE BEFORE REQUESTING FOR THE PASSPORT? Thanks in advance

Hey BBCcanada,

it really depends on the VO. Look for the Accra thread, and ask them, they would have a better idea - some VO ask for the passport right away (New Delhi for example), and some when the process is completed (Mexico I believe).
I think they will ask for the passport at the same time of the fee, but you can already pay the fee and send them the proof - pay the fee, and send the request to CIC ( there is a special email address for that, can not find it right now, hopefully somebody else will comment, but I believe it is CPCM-EXTCOM@cic.gc.ca ) - asking them to communicate it to your VO. It will take a while, and you can not make payment to the VO directly for now, so you might as well save some time and pay already now. if you got an AOR from your VO, then include your UCI etc, otherwise include your file number, name, DOB, and VO etc. so they can match it with your application.
