I just called up CIC and the automated system told me they received my file on April 18, 2012.
I guess that's the closest thing to an AOR. Hopefully next week I receive the approval. Then it's another month for CSQ and a long ride - 18 to 21 months- in Singapore :(
This is just depressing!!!

If CIC were a private enterprise, they would have been out of business a log time ago.

I agree the wait in stage 2 is really long, and that isn't in their control ( for the most part ). You would think that they would at least speed up stage 1 since that "IS" in their control, to make the over all experience a little more bearable.

Hahaha .. I like that coffee to motivate ..
Let's send it Monday morning... it worked for RosieLee! :)

No...not coffee...crystal meth...they'd be flying through apps and handing out visas left, right, and center...they'd be coming to your house to help finish the app and giving the AOR right then and there....

I also can't believe how much it has slowed down this week! What's up with CIC-O? Usually they are a lot faster...

yeah the only problem with crystal meth...is that might land me a husband coming from russia instead of cuba and you might land up in the cayman islands...LOL.......

but yes can't believe how slow it has become....maybe ottawa got heck for outshining mississauga so bad....you know a case of....hey people you are making us look bad....you better slow down cause we aren't speeding up......I just hope april gets back on track next week and the rest of may.......

Today, was not my day.

Really odd that 3 people are still waiting from April 11th & 12th.

It is odd. We got our approval on the 13th, so I don't get why there has been such a slow down. The only thing I can think of is that CIC-M is processing the rest of April...

I just heard from Lemondrop and she is still waiting...nothing in the mail....weird...her app was filed on the 6th.

Next week will surely be a busy one and lots of Aprilicants will be getting their approvals!!

I know how you must feel...I felt the same way...but you will get your approval...it will be next week for sure...has to be!!!

Things tend to slow down and speed up - who knows why but I know how frustrating it is for those waiting. Next week will DEFINITELY be better so Aprillicants just enjoy your weekend and try not to think about it! Go have some fun!

I received a snail mail today from Case Processing Pilot - Ottawa, sponsorship approved on July 17th, and transferred to New Delhi VO.

Now, the stage 2 waiting game starts...

I checked ecas, and it shows Application Received for Permanent Residence Application Status, and when I click on it it says "Medical results have been received." - This is the very first step they do? check medicals?

When they do PPR, does it show in the ecas? Do they always send email or mail or either?

Congrats to all the new AOR's and approvals!!!

Arjun3,
from what I see ND request PP early in the process...

congrats arjun....

misskay... no news here too... i'll be pitching on whoever is sending the coffee... i want my approval asap!

guess i should call them on monday?

Congrats ... Double hitter ... AOR and Approval in 1 go .... I think I speak for everyone here when I say .. " Can I get one of those "

My wife's sponsorship application status on ecas: DECISION MADE now. It was IN PROCESS 3/4 days ago and PR application status says application received, medical received. The file was transfered to ND on 11/July/2012. And sponsor approved email received on the same day.

I have not received the passport request email yet. The status says DECISION MADE. Is this common for everyone?

thx.

You mean the sponsor's part reads DM? This is normal for when you have your sponsorship approved.
The applicant part will say application received for now. As far as I've read, the rest of updates depend on the visa office and the way the officer will update the system.
And the address for the applicant will change to the sponsor's address right at the end.

Still, I'd just take it with a grain of salt :)

Recd AOR on 18th July and today first time ECAS was updated saying that they recd the application on 19th July.

But still no approval :-(

Any idea how long it will take??? Do they first update ECAS and then send approval or vice versa????

How everyone got approvals, emails or mails????

Please help me as i want to send the receipt of right of permanent resident fee to missisauga office.

I am sponsoring my wife and have paid the fees.. i have some questions.

1. Should i enter my name, date of birth and address inthe required fields or my wifes. ( I have paid the amount)
2. Where it says client Id... should i enter the 8 digit UCI ids i recieved in email with AOR.
3. What address should i send it to in missisauga office. (The post box etc)
4. Do I need to attach a cover letter with the receipt.

I have yet to receive the approval but i have already paid the fees since i wanted to save some time as i already have the UCI id in the AOR.

please help.

thank u all in advance.
