Hi Saki / Mitali,

i have 2 questions.

1. Since i live in Kuwiat, I got my PCC from Kuwait and since i lived in India up to the age of 23 i got Indian one form the Indian Embassy. Is the Indian one from the Embassy enough to support ? or is it a must to get 1 from India?

2. Regarding POF should i get the Bank Certificate stating amount in CAD or can i show in Kuwaiti Dinars.

Thanks.
Gavi

Proof of funds can be in any currency as long as its equilant to the required amount in CAD. Keep in mind the changing conversion rates

Hi Gavi,

If the indian embasy pcc states your indian address and confirms that during your stay there you didnt have any criminal record then it will be fine because embassy do give PCC to the citizens who are living abroad and it is acceptable.

For POF you can show kuwaiti dinar no need to show CAD, what CHC woll do they will use the current exchange rate and see how much those dinars make CAD so just make sure that you have enough dinars which make the CAD you required to show.

Cheers

Hello everyone I just want to give you updates on my status. CIO received my apllication last April 20,2010 and my credit card company charged me already last June 30, 2010. I called the CIC thru ( 16139444-000) and the call center agent informed me that my application is not yet on process because its not on their system yet.... :(

Try Calling them one more time and provide exact details of you... like Firstname and lastname.

I already did. I gave the agent my full name and birthdate. Not on their system yet. But I am billed already in my credit card. thats weird.

CAN YOU CHECK THE STSTUS OF YOUR APPLICATION EVEN IF YOU HAVE A AGENT DEALING WITH YOUR APPLICATION.

Guys!

I got my AoR from CIO just 5 minutes back :D

Best of luck to all of you

Hi Everybody, I think i have a good news for all those whose application is returned, or may be returned due to some document error.

One of my friend whose application was received on 8th April 2010, got his rejection letter today. He forgot to attach spouse background declaration. His NOC is still in the current list.

CIO has asked him to deposit the required document with rejection letter. The rejection letter has a sticker which has a barcode and no printed on the letter

B-xxxx xxxx x

Is this his application no ?

Does this mean application returned can be resend under the same rules

Seniors plz respond and clarify

Hey Saki,
the Indian Embassy PCC states the following "there is no adverse info againt ABC holder of Passport no#12343456 issued at Kuwait which would render him/her ineligible of travel grant including visa to Canada"
is this ok?

Hi Gavi,

As I had mentioned in my earlier post _ You are fine with the PCC that you have received from the Indian Embassy. The statement written on the Indian PCC is perfect and that means that there is no negative report against you.
