Hi Sukhi,

Yes that will be fine buddy as you are a principal applicant so she does not need to get her job experience letters in details, no need for appointment letter.

IELTS Bands ....

To obtain a satisfactory IELTS Band Score, it is necessary to be realistic. If the goal is to reach a
certain level of English proficiency, success can only be achieved with much practice. It is important
to know what an IELTS score in any of the Sub-tests means before you set yourself a goal. An outline
of the Overall Band Scale levels is given below:

9 = Expert User -Has fully operational command of the language: appropriate, accurate and
fluent with complete understanding.

8 = Very Good User - Has fully operational command of the language with only occasional
unsystematic inaccuracies and inappropriacies. Misunderstandings may
occur in unfamiliar situations. Handles complex detailed argumentation well.

7 = Good User - Has operational command of the language, though with occasional inaccuracies,
inappropriacies and misunderstandings in some situations. Generally handles
complex language well and understands detailed reasoning.

6 = Competent User - Has generally effective command of the language despite some inaccuracies,
inappropriacies and misunderstandings. Can use and understand fairly complex
language, particularly in familiar situations.

5 = Modest User - Has partial command of the language, coping with overall meaning in most
situations, though is likely to make many mistakes. Should be able to handle
basic communication in own field.

4 = Limited User - Basic competence is limited to familiar situations. Has frequent problems in
understanding and expression. Is not able to use complex language.

3 = Extremely Limited User - Conveys and understands only general meaning in very familiar situations.
Frequent breakdowns in communication occur.

2 = Intermittent User - No real communication is possible except for the most basic information
using isolated words or short formulae in familiar situations and to meet
immediate needs. Has great difficulty understanding spoken and -written English.

1 = Non User - Essentially has no ability to use the language beyond possibly a few
isolated words.

0 = Did Not Attempt The Test - No assessable information provided

Hi All,
This is a suggestion to all IELTS aspirants, Plz (please) try to use the full words when you are chatting or posting your replies on this forum and try to minimize the use of internet "lingo". This would certainly help in the writing section as we will not make many spelling mistakes and also while speaking we should try to avoid these kind of words e.g. senti in case of sentimental etc.

One of the girl who appeared for the exam with me used this word senti during her speaking exercise. That is why the particular example. She told me that the panel member did not say anything but she could judge from their reaction that they had noticed this particular use.

I think its very probable that during the tense moments of the exams we can make these mistakes even without realizing those.

Just a suggestion, but I think this would be useful.

guys wat a client ID where do we get it.
Hi Sidrakhan,

Check pg 82 for Saki's response regarding Client ID and how to get it. Basically, Client ID is an identification number alloted to the applicants as CIC enters the information from the forms of applicants onto their system. Once you get the client ID, you can check the status of your application online.

H Sidra,

I am hoping my credit card get charge next week and after that i guess 15 more days to get AOR, i think i we will get it somewhere between 18 to 25 July. Client ID you can get it from CIC if you ring them and they have opened your package then they will be able to give you the client ID.

Hi Prince,

There are some applicants i beleive which are not active on the form and we have not heard anything, i have seen some applicants lately coming and telling us that their CC was charge on this date and now they have received the AOR as well. But at the moment CIC is looking on the 15th April applications, hopefully some good news next week when they will come back from long weekend.
Cheers

Sidra ClientID is your file number starting from B. There are 2 ways to get it

1. You get one in your email when CIO informs you about the acceptance of your applications and directs you to provide the full application to your CHC.

2. You can call up CIO call center and once you told them that you do not have a client id, they look up your file using your last name, DoB, first name etc. And if your file has been created and they provide you with the file number which you need to use for any future correspondence with CIO/CHC.

My pleasure Sukhi. At this point don't take a chance. Acquire it , if available and if not then just mention in your cover letter that it is not available. But make sure that the details as would have been on a business card for example, telephone,Fax number and address are available on the reference letter for CIO to refer to, in case needed.

Hi Sidrakhan,

This week and also probably early next week is going to be slow because of Canada Day. Summertime in Canada is very short and people generally take vacation during this time. Its just that the Immigration office would have less work force.
