I think it should process quicker because now those who wants to apply they will have to sit IELTS and get PCC which means CIC is not going to get many applications for atleast next 2 months. So they should speed up and try to finish all the applications before they start receiving the application which fall under new rules.

Hi Saki,
I have called up to CIC yesterday just to know for what date's aps are being assessed now..but i couldnt make it. they disconnected my call three times by saying that all agents are busy call after sometime.i just want to know if anyone else exprienced this.

Hi,

I received Personal Message from one of the April applicant who ring CIC just one day ago and the lady on the fone said to him that they are currently processing the application received on 15th April. There operators will be busy due to many people making calls about the 26th June rule change so that might be the reason why your call didnt get through.

Hi Saki, Chander, Moataz..

Thanks for your prompt reply.. I have not yet confirmed my decision about withdrawing my application. I am thinking about this because before applying for immigration I had consulted a agent here and I saw the job duties listed under 0711 and I have experience in all of those. Then I did fill out the forms and sent it (I eventually did not use the consultant). But after scrutinizing the 0711 NOC I found out that these duties are meant from a civil engineering perspective and I did the same ones as an project architect. So I was skeptical about my applications result as well. But in the new NOC list I find the NOC for architects - 2151- added in the shortlisted occupation. So I stand a better chance with that one.
So I was thinking if I withdraw this application and apply again in 2151 as soon as possible so as my application reaches there before the 1000 applications/NOC cap reaches then my chances are better.

Because if I wait for this one and then submit my full docs to CHC then wait for result from them. And then if I get rejected at the stage then it will be too late for me as the cap of application must have been reached by that time.

I am anxious and also a great deal confused.

Plz share your views and help me here.

Hi Sapana,

You are right and i think if i was at your place i would withdraw as well, and 2151 is newly added so chances are that your application might process more quicker as they need architects. But i dont think now you can re-draw because sooon in a week or so time you will get the reply. I will suggest to wait for their response and as soon as you get approval just withdraw the applcation and without waiting for the refund of you fees apply straight away. I hope you will have your IELTS and PCC ready.
