Take it easy guys.
I have been playing with US/Canada Immigration for years. I have learnt that being impatient doesnt help, it will just increase your anxiety and is not at all productive. It will happen when it has to. So get on with your lives and focus on other important things than just waiting for this. As a rule of thumb it takes 2 months. This is my third application to CIO. I got my previous AOR in 2.5 months. So just forget about it, it will come when it has to come. If its refused then just correct the mistake and re-apply. You lose only 2 months. not a big deal. Besides its not heaven in Canada. You will face more problems (of different type) after coming here. Dont lose your cool, keep trying but keep this as a side project and not your main agenda.

I have sent my documents on 19th April and received by visa office on 22.04.2010 and AOR received on 26.04.2010
Ecas shows Received by Visa Office till date.

I just called CIC and was able to get connected to an agent in 12 min. well my app is still not in the system but he told me that CIO has started working on apps recieved on or after 8th april-2010....

can u give me the number. I want to ensure if my application has been received or not. As per DHL it was recived on 06-04-2010 but my DD is not yet encashed ....

Guys he sent his full docs to visa office and got his 2nd AOR , so dont worry its not that he got his first aor in 2 days...

Hi April applicants,
Just spoke with CIO officer... I was told they had received my application on 6 April, 2010. i see i'm not falling under March applicants anymore ??? How they can cashed my draft on May 6 then? that means a month after they started to process my application. I assume they got it on 31st March-1st April, but started working on it after the holidays (long week-end) that caused the delay. Now they tell me that it's under process and to wait for the response by beginning of July ??? How could that be? So much frustrated!!!
