Our status on eCAS now changed to "In Process" but when the link is clicked it shows the same old line - "we received your application for permanent residence on....."

My Application status is also changed to In Process.. It was previously showing as Application Received.
But the details are as it is. I dont know what to make of this?

we have almost identical dates for our applications - i'm interested to see which vo is faster - vienna or new delhi... we've been in process since nov 3rd, 2010 - but had a request for additional documents a few days later (which we sent late in december) - now waiting to see what will be next (meds requests and soon! fingers crossed...)

somehow I am not so sure... The line "We have started processing your file on so and so date" is not there.

The above case of med request coming in just after a few days of in process was because ND used to make the status IP only after the background checks. I am not sure if this is the case with us. They have put us in IP first and may be they will now conduct the background checks.
I will be most delighted If i am proved wrong here...

entering IP before proceeding with background checks is probably due to the same kind of process being used for post 26th june applicants since all applicants under new rules have to send complete documents to CIO and CIO conducts the only points calculation and client's eligibility and transfers the case to VO incase of positive assesment. once the case is traferred to VO they start background checks and put the case In Process. atleast thats what i think is happening.

Hi All,

Today morning I talked to my consultant and told him that my Ecas status is changed to "In Process" on 19 feb 2011, so when can i expect medicals?
he told me that currently Jan applicants are going for medicals so yours may be in the month of May
Again a long wait.

if u look at our google chart then u will observe that candidates who recieved their 1ST AOR from CIO in june,july.august are getting their file numbers started from E========== EXCEPT the only candidate dreamscanada.i would like to ask dreamscanada to recheck file number again .Those are the candidates who will be getting real e-cas status now since CIO started sending their files to CHC ,ND while remaining all post september AOR candidates have to wait(pending review though in process) a long until another files created ,after CIO will transfer their files to ND VISA OFFICE.This is my observation .seniors please comment.

Hello all,

I have applied under NOC 0111 in April 2010. I got the 1st AOR in 25th June,2010. I sent all the documents at 26th Sept,2010. My status is still showing RECEIVED BY VISA OFFICE. I am quite disappointed still its not showing In Process. Can u guys please suggest how much time does it take to change the status from Received by visa office to In Process? In case of NOC 0111 at SIngapore VO,how many months does they take to proceed.?

Once we receive PPR request, do we need to send it by post to London VO or can do we need to submit passports at Canadian Embassy in Abu Dhabi?
As per my understanding, we cannot send the passports out of the country by any post service, its illegal. 2ndly, sometimes, it takes long to get the passports and it will be very difficult to stay in another country for long without passports.
