This delay might be due to fix visa quota of 2,50000 for the year 2011 and lots of eligible applicants in this year.

why is this important anyway? is B or E code for something?

Even our status is now changed to "Application Received". Earlier it was "In Process". And clicking on the link shows it as "We received your application for permanent residence on April 8, 2010."
Looks like the NDVO is going thru some crap. Either they are sleeping or they are not able to handle the load or the person who is responsible to update the e-CAS is a budhu.
Whatever, it's the routine ordeal....wait eagerly with our mouths open, tongues popping out, saliva dripping out from the toungues and waiting for the +ve result!!!

Please be sure the information you entered is correct and then try again.
This service is only available to clients with applications in process. We may have received your application but not yet begun processing it. The following link may help you determine if your application is being processed:

I dont think any person updates the ecas status directly. The status must be updated by the system based on the process and entry of some milestone dates in the system against the particular file.andamanhunk said:

good luck to all, in our case, we have just submitted our full documents in Manila visa office last February 7 (120 days, from the time we had received our 1st AOR).... we are crossing our fingers for positive response for now we're patiently waiting for our 2nd AOR.. any idea how long will it take to receive it?sadika said:

The best thing would be to not look at the ecas status for a few days... just wait n watch (as if we could do anything else)... the process will normalize soon..
lots of stress in every thread these days... need to take a step back and exhale.......
Visa offices seem to be working their wayup the ladder. lets give them some time they will come around.....

My case status also shows "Application Received" and my File no starts with E.
Need some guidance,
Currently I am in US and I have filled my application from India. My query is, do I and my wife need to goto New Delhi India for Passport Stamping or we can courier it from here?
Or is it possible that we can take 15-20 days off from work and goto New Delhi personally and get our passports stamped.
Has anyone faced such situation. Please guide.
