A very strange news...either CIO is telling lies or they have changed some process....like previously when new FSW system introduced in Feb 2008, all prior applicants got stuck....similar situation is i think for all of us specially late April / May / June applicants who submitted their application before 26 June 2010. One of my friend applied under new rules (after 26 June). His application reached CIO on 27th August and his Credit Card Charged on 8th Septemebr (Total just 12 days )

I think Buffalo office is the slowest in the world. All we can do is wait,wait,wait and wait

I submitted all of my documents to Buffalo on 13th Aug and now waiting for my second AOR. I was having the option of Delhi or Buffalo but I opted for Buffalo and I guess I made incorrect choice.

And now transferring file from Buffalo to Delhi can prolong my wait even longer. This wait sucksssssssss

Yes it appears to be one of the slowest office. I had the same choice too and indeed we made a bad decision. my timelines are already posted in the thread. April 19- recd by CIO, July 14 AOR 1, July 26 Docs recd by Buff, now got this e-mail.

Please note: You don't need Police Certificates for each city. You need it from each country or territory where you have lived for six consecutive months or longer.

In general, you and everyone in your family who is 18 years of age or over need to obtain a police certificate. You must obtain a police certificate from each country or territory where you have lived for six consecutive months or longer since reaching the age of 18.

The certificate must have been issued no more than three months before you submit your application.

If the original certificate is neither in English nor in French, submit both the certificate and the original copy of a translation prepared by an accredited translator with your application.

What i specifically wanted to knew that do i need the Police certificate for every address on which i lived in one city or the police certificate having my current address is sufficient? I was living in our family home before which is in the same area in which i am living now but ofcourse the address is now changed. So do i need to obtain a certificate that mentioned my older address as well?

Hi Veshi,

You do not need PCC from each and every city/place that you lived in. You can approach the Police stn/Passport office of your current address to request for PCC. I have read that there is a network between the Passport office and the Police stn and they exchange informations regarding the applicant to make assessments for PCC.

This is very alarming ! There's might be an "internal" reason for this which they don't want the public to know. there is an underlying issue that should be explained to some applicants,but despite of the call inquiries, emails etc..., until now they haven't given us explanation just to assure us applicants that everything is doing fine. Pretty sure that the CIO are very much aware of this issue since most of the late april/may applicants has been very persistent to contact their office. But it seems that they just take this for granted. If this is the case, we cannot do anything about this.... no more time line, no more rules/laws to be followed...no guidelines to keep track... etc.. we don't hold anything in our hands... except for "LUCK" !

How true, but does not seems fair, I am sure most of the applicants wouldn't mind waiting, It is the uncertainty which is killing. Even if they inform us that it would take another 8 weeks for the AOR to start arriving than at least the agonizing wait can be over.

Yes sun, me too is very much willing to wait even it would take us again another 8 weeks, as long as things are all in control.. I am very much positive that the CIO would deal this issue fairly. Let us keep on praying and hoping for the best. Maybe the CIO are also doing all their best to gradually answer and cater all the needs of their applicants..unexpected circumstances do happen God bless to all of us .. thanks sunn

The reason behind this is the 1000CAP for per NOC, they are checking the application quickly so that they fill the 1000 CAP ASAP and then they dont have to check more applications, so what i think is that they have divided the 2 teams one working for pre 26th June and one post 26th June applications. They dont want to keep spending time on the May/June application and at the same time keep receiving more applications they just want to close the 1000CAP as quickly as they can.

But how does filling up the CAP (1000/NOC or 20,000 applicants, whichever is early) have to do with sending the CC and AOR's to the late April/May/and early June applicants...that is by your understanding that there may be 2 teams working pre and post 26th June?

Moreover, the time to fill up the CAP is unknown... we really do not know if it might be soon (most unlikely) or late. If it is late then why hang the pre 26th Jun applicants? Even if they have to fill up the cap the applications should be valid that is a pre screening of the applications probably should be done to shunt them off to get their ticket in the CAP.

Lots of theories are going around in the Forum regarding this and unfortunately we can do nothing but to wait and pray.
