Approved Online Visitor Visa: Passport Return Times

Yes it does mean that it is approved, it should say something like they need it to complete the process. so if you dont send your passport within a certain amount of time (like 30 days) then they can refuse you but if you send it before, they will stamp it to finalize the approval..

i'm not sure how long it will take as my husband applied from outside of Canada, but it took 1 week and he had to send it to Guatemala from Costa Rica so i'm sure it would be less?

I have a quick question too, I applied for visitor TRV for my wife on-line we got passport request on 5 Dec, 2015 and we sent the passport on 7 Dec 2015 and received by CIC Chandigarh on 9th of December, my question is its been month now the passport is still with CIC since we received the passport request letter, Will they still issue the VISA. Please advice

hi everyone , I applied for my mom's super visa in 12/November/2015 and they asked for the medical exam which was done on December 22 AND ONE WEEK LATER IT WAS PASSED Huh what shall i expect ? and what are the odds of her application being accepted vs rejected at this point Huh?? IM SO STRESSED OUT

AM not sure, if i have to pay 31.99$ fee. Can you please help me with that ??

Below is my boyfriend's timeline (Vietnamese PP - F1 Student in the US)

Nov 15th: Applied on
Nov 27th: Received PP request
Dec 7th: VAC NY received PP as per USPS tracking
Dec 8th: Application Received by Visa Office - Under Consideration as per VAC tracking id#
Dec 10th: Application Completed - In transit to VAC. Online Application Status Approved. Closed.
Dec 11th: Application Completed - In Transit to Applicant from VAC. USPS return airway bill activated - In Transit
Dec 14th: Received PP with stamped visa (until PP expiry date). ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Hi,

I just want to share my experience of making Canada visa.
I'm Indonesian and have F1 visa in Dallas area..
I applied through CIC account (gc key) and already got my passport back...

Applied: April 10
Passport Request: April 22
Passport sent (Through USPS): April 23 (to VAC in El Segundo, LA)
Passport delivered: May 1 (USPS got my passport delayed, so I think better to use the priority mail instead of first class mail)
However, after the VAC received my passport at May 1, they sent me an email consists of the tracking id (for vac website) and air waybill number (my return envelope)
Application closed: May 5
Passport sent to Dallas from LA: May 6 (I checked it from USPS tracking air waybill number)
Received my passport back: May 9

I already have Pre-Paid envelope from USPS to send to LA.
Do i still need to pay VAC fees ? If so, how do i pay ? Is it 31.99$ or 38$?
Do i also need to send VAC consent form?

How long does it take if I applied within Canada

Hello all:

I applied within Canada for a new TRV, and it arrives in Ottawa today. I wonder how long does it take for me to have my passport back, as I do need it before Feb 13th for a trip. If I cannot, any ways for me to hurry up the process.

Hi! I just got a passport submission request but I'm quite clueless on how I will proceed. Can you help me by sharing what you did?

1. Did you submit personally or through courier?
a. If personally, do you need to have an appointment or is it ok if just walk-in?
b. Did it take long? I don't have the luxury of time so if I will be submitting personally, I would have to do it quickly :|

c. If through courier, how and what else did you provide aside from your passport and the letter of passport submission request?

2. Were there additional fees that you had to pay? How much?

Feb 22 - submitted the passport personally at VFS Makati
Feb 26 - got the passport delivered at home through 2GO courier

Well, I am going to reply to my own posting:

Applied for Visitor Visa (re-enter Canada) within Canada and sent PAPER application:
Sent Paper application to Ottawa - Feb.25,2016
Received by Ottawa - Feb.26, 2016
Got our passports back with visas - March7,2016

It took 8 working days (including mailing days).
Filled IMM5257 form seperately for each of us; xpress envelopes for each person. When I sent I put all our application packages into the same one envelope.
Ottawa sent our passports in seperate envelopes, but we received them
in one day alltogether.

Application Submitted: March 1, 2016
Passport Request: March 8, 2016. Sent all the documents required to NY VAC + money order to lockbox in Philadelphia.
Passport Received: March 10, 2016
Email from NYC VAC with Tracking Number: March 14, 2016
Passport in Transit to Visa Office: March 14, 2016
Passport Received by Visa Office - Under Consideration: March 15, 2016
Application Processing Completed - In Transit to the VAC: March 16, 2016

I checked my CIC online and it says Closed and Approved. Expecting to receive my passport sometime end of this week or early next week, once NY VAC mails it back using the returned envelope that I attached.
