Approved for sponsorship - but change in circumstance

Hello,

After a six year long wait I was finally approved to sponsor my parents today. We had a baby on Saturday and we have not informed cic yet- we have been so busy since being discharged from hospital. I will write to CIC informing of the change to my family. I still qualify financially to sponsor my parents. What happens now, will they reassess my sponsorship application? I dont think i should be penalized for not informing cic. there is no reasonable way for a new parent to let cic know about the change within a week.

Informing CIC of the baby is necessary, but no, they will not expect you to have informed them the very day the child was born. A week or two later should be fine.

They will do a quick check to make sure you still meet the LICO with the new addition to the family count but your app will not be sent back to the first stage.
