Hi all, I'm helping my sister prepare her application for TRV. Her situation is this:
My questions are:
- She is currently unemployed and is being financially supported by her boyfriend who is a Canadian citizen
- She has children from her previous marriage and has no property under her name.
- Her boyfriend will be paying for her trip and all other expenses. She will also be staying at his apartment when she arrives in Canada.
- We are applying for Multiple Entry Visa and stated in the application form that she wants to stay for at least six months
If you are not paying for your own trip:
- Provide a letter signed by the person paying and a photocopy of their passport, or other official identification with photo and a bank certificate proving that they have sufficient funds.
- Describe how this person is related to you.
- These documents must be dated within three months of the date on which the application is submitted.
Explain the purpose of your trip (as applicable):
- details of your itinerary in Canada;
- provisional travel arrangements (airline or hotel booking);
- letter of invitation from the person or business you will visit;
- registration at a conference, letter from your employer.
My questions are:
- Is this "letter" different from the invitation letter that her boyfriend is supposed to give her?
- Do we really have to provide an itinerary? Like list what she will be doing on Day 1, Day 2, etc.,?
- Her boyfriend's bank balance is CAD$11,000. Is this amount sufficient enough to prove that he can cover her trip and expenses for the duration of her stay?
- She only recently opened her bank account (like less than 10 days ago) and her bank balance is CAD$4000 (the money was deposited by her bf shortly after she opened her account). Should we include a copy of her bank statement showing that amount in her application? Or should we only submit the bank statement of her bf since he will be covering all her expenses?
