Apply supervisa or visitor visa(again) for parents?

Hi members,

My parents applied for a visitor visa from India in Aug 2020 and gave biometrics after a year in Sept 2021 in the old portal. The visitor visa is still in progress and there has not been any updates.

Also, I was fortunate enough to get the invitation to sponsor my parents under the Parents and GrandParents program in 2021. I submitted the application in Oct 2021.
We want our parents to visit us here in Canada in 2022 if flights still operate.

Should I wait for the visitor visa they applied on the old portal? Or should I reapply in the new portal? If yes, should I apply visitor visa or super visa?

I would apply through the new portal. It's your choice if you apply for a TRV or super visa.
