Just an update.. I have received my passport request yesterday
I'm not getting too excited since seeing they take so long to resend the passport.
Any news on your end Zaara0804?

As for me, I am still waiting.. i do not know why its taking so much time.. next week is going to be one and a half month!

Acecube, its been more than a month since they have the passport.

As for case enquiry, it been only 2 weeks since i sent them email

I did not call Pretoria.. is there a number on which I can call??

I had call the Call Centre in Canada but they told me that since the file has already been transferred to Pretoria, they do not have further info.

The call centre will not be able to help as your file is with the VO. You can contact your MP also.

MP is the member of parliament of your province I think. You can contact him/her via telephone or mail.

Hopefully you get the passport back soon. The norm is 5-10 days. Not sure what the delay is for Zaara.

Yes there definitely is. There is a spreadsheet that you can access by googling " Canada Permanent Resident Applications Processed Abroad and Processing Times " , it is the open.canada.ca website that will allow you to download the xls file. You'll be able to see that each category has a different processing time.

I applied in september haven't received AOR1, and most september applicants already receiving their SA. My hubby tried calling today, and CIC isn't responding to any calls. Just wondering how long imight still have to wait.

From what I have seen online.. They are working on applications received on the 9th of sept.. so I am sure you will hear from them soon.. It usually takes two months from the date you applied.
As for the second stage it's really hard to tell bcoz each case is different but try looking at all the time lines.. The average time what I've seen so far is 4 to 6 months for the second stage.
Anyways I hope this helps.. I really hope and pray you hear from them soon and my advise to you is to be patient and have faith... best of luck xxx
