I don't know what's causing the delay. Try sending them an email to know the whereabouts of the passport.

You should have sent it through VFS Mauritius.

Yeah, i was thinking that it was going to be VFS.. But GMS sent it themselves. I tracked the delivery, it was received by Pretoria and singed by a certain RADIKA.

I sent them an email today (through the case specific enquiries) but i got the automated response which says that they take 30 days to reply back

Strange that it's taken this long. From previous posts I got the impression that it takes about a week or so. Hopefully it's just a minor delay. Let us know once you get it back. Good luck

It's the generic message to acknowledge receipt of your query.

Hopefully you hear something at the earliest as the wait can be dreadful.

I sent proof of fund as PVO request in August 2015.

I requested GCMS and the note is saying POF not yet recieved as October 2nd 2015. Acoording to the GCMS note my file was last updated 18 July 2015.

What is wrong with PVO???

Is there any way to confirm that PVO recievied my POF or not??

Your notes are as at the date you have requested for them. If you have sent them after you have requested for the notes then it will not be included in same.

Also, do note that this thread relates to family sponsorship and it is distinct from the program you have applied for.

Today is exactly one month that Pretoria has the passport!!!!!!!!!!!!! But no visa yet

Your notes are as at the date you have requested for them. If you have sent them after you have requested for the notes then it will not be included in same.

Pretoria gave us false hope...asking for passport as if they were ready to issue the visa
Now its been more than a month and still no news from them... I just wished they had not issues PPR if they were not ready yet..

I hope you hear from them too.. Lets all pray and have faith

Yes there definitely is. There is a spreadsheet that you can access by googling " Canada Permanent Resident Applications Processed Abroad and Processing Times " , it is the open.canada.ca website that will allow you to download the xls file. You'll be able to see that each category has a different processing time.

I'm not getting too excited since seeing they take so long to resend the passport.
