Sorry to ask but what is CAIPS notes?? And how do I request them? Where do I request them?

The principal applicant will need to sign the consent form in order for the sponsor to apply for the notes on his/her behalf:

Fill out the consent form with the applicant's info, print it and have him/her sign it and then scan it and upload it. Pay the fee and your done. If you have anymore questions just ask.

P.S Always choose electronic files

The GCMS notes contains the details of your application as well as any comments from the visa officer. It can give you an insight of the reason of the interview.

Since it's in one month time, you must order at once coz it takes 30 days to be processed.

The VO calls for an interview to clear any doubt they have on your relationship and at times they will keep the passport of the principal applicant after the interview.

Hello everyone,

Just an update on my side..


We sent the passport on 05 Oct and Pretoria received in on the 7th Oct..However, we still have not got back the passport. Last friday(16 Oct), our ecas status was changed to decision made.

I do not know why it is taking them so long to release the passport

Hello friends,

I am September 2014 applicant I did my medical exam in July and got Medical results have been received from my ECAS in August.

PVO requested me POF and I submitted end of August.

Nothing then after and Pretoria visa office is silent . is it normal??? or should I stop waiting for PPR??

Hi everyone, I have applied to CIO/CIC Sydney Nova Scotia though Manitoba Provincial Nomination Plan. The courier services, UPS, has showed me the signed waybill of my PR Visa Application being received on the 28/29 September 2015. I have not had any feedback from CIO/CIC.

How long do you guys think it will take before I ger AOR and file transfer?

I really hope I get AOR in November and File Transfer in December 2015. Then, Police Clearance and Medical request Jan/Feb 2016 and PPR Mar/Apr 2016

What do you guys think and has anyone here submitted the same time as I have?

Did you get your passport back ? I think the delay was due to the election , Canada was busy with the election of the new prime minister and all Canadians abroad suppose to use their embassy to vote ,the election was on the 19 October.

I am settling well ,i have been in the country since 7 August , I am got my PR card already it was sent to me 7 weeks later . I am currently busy with the job hunting , i am going to so many interviews , there is hope .

My passport is with the pretoria VO since 3 weeks. I did not hear frm then at all and alsotracked the dhl number.. The visa has not been despatched yet i a, starting to feel a bit scared now.. I hope this is not indication of bad news..

I don't know what's causing the delay. Try sending them an email to know the whereabouts of the passport.

You should have sent it through VFS Mauritius.
