It depends on who is working on your files . I have a friend who waited 20 months before they process his application and i have also people who waited 6 months . We can not predict .I am giving them time to decide coz i am tired .

There is no harm in trying. Who knows you can get lucky this time ;)

Hey there
For us, we knew the medicals were going to expire, but we waited for them to notify us. This was via email, and they actually emailed us the form to take to the dr. They used one of the pictures we were required to send on our initial Pkg, and attached that on to a form- I forget the number- the medical form, and that's what my husband took. Once they receive the medical from the dr, it takes a couple mths before you hear from them. In our case it was to go for an interview in Pretoria which was not long or intense at all.

Meds can't be extended from what I understand. You're kind of at their mercy so even though it is super expensive to get it done, you have to do it

Hang in there, it is ridiculously long to wait, it took us almost 2 yrs, and they even lost his first medical and took no blame for it....as cliche as it sounds, it will be over and you will b together one day. Good luck and hope it goes quicker for you!!

Still No reply since I sent my Police clearance to them which they requested and i sent the following day. Its aready been 8 weeks.

Also its been a year now since my medicals were done which was in nov 2013 so does that mean I have
to re-do them? Or do i have to wait for them to tell me to go and do them again? Are they valid for a year?
does re-doing them apply in every case?

can anyone share their experience?

I have been looking for a job offer in online marketing field, hoping to work abroad. I just wondering is there anything I can do get into it. I have couple of years experience in this field.

Are there any applicants from Pretoria who have filed their application in 2014.

Please share your timeline since this group is very quiet compared to the Nairobi one.

Looking forward to hearing from you all soon.

Here is my timeline. You are right we don't have that many people with Pretoria as VO posting so it is kind of difficult to gauge what's happening. I actually wrote an email to Pretoria in September and they just said your file is waiting review by any officer, short for we haven't started processing. Guess all you can do is wait. Nairobi seems to be going somewhat fast from what I see but you can't really based on that, these offices work so differently

Thanks for your response.

We have to wait for any correspondence from their side and hopefully it is a good news. From what i've read and i have been doing that a lot since we have sent our application, it takes a couple of months to go in process and thereon it's quite quick provided that your application is in order.

Best of luck for your application and do share any update from your side.

Any update anyone???

I am new to this forum. I applied for sponsorship in June 2014 for my spouse from Madagascar. On September my sponsorship was approved and I was told that the file was transferred to Pretoria. Since then I have not heard anything. Very frustrating process. I don't know when I will hear from them

Hi. Why did it take 3 month for you to get SA??

Yeah indeed it is a very frustrating process. Did you ever contact the Pretoria visa office for any update??

Thanks in advance for sharing :)

My application was missing Option C because I sent the notice of assessment instead. So in July they requested the Option C again

Acecube ,I have not contacted them yet. Have you contacted them? My wife's medical was done up front and will expire in May 2015
