Hi Toronto, it seems your case might just be fast as well. Coz it was filed in January n yo status has changed already??? We filed in December last year n today the status still says application received...hopefully we get some good news soon...

I hope we all do, some other apps in other VO's were marked as in process for months so there is really no way of telling.

Hey there...

We also filed in Pretoria as of Dec 2013. In January, I was approved as a Sponsor. As of March 19, our application is in process. And as of June 2, his medicals have been received... we're one step closer and really, really, really hoping it does not take the 21 months that is posted on CIC's site.

Did you send your medicals with the application or at a later date?

My husband's medicals were sent with the application in Dec 2013 and the medicals of his son (who is not accompanying him to Canada) were sent in April but they requested more information (an affidavit) shortly after that....

On some other news.... This morning at 4:25am (Canada time) we received an email from Pretoria with an attached letter. The heading of that attached letter is "Your Visa is Ready to be Issued" ;D We are soooooo happy right now.

The only concern is that we checked our status on CIC's website and there's been no changes to the last point about "Medical have been received".... This can't be a glitch in the system?? That would be so terribly mean.

Anyhow, he's going ahead with it and sending the completed form (Annex A), along with the photos and passport.

We can't believe this waiting is all coming to an end very soon!!

Congrats patientlywaiting, that sounds like your visa is on the way, I am sure they are a bit late with updating the Ecas...so happy for you guys, sounds like Pretoria is working somehow...

A change on ecas today to in process as of June 2.

Excellent nurse. Looks like PTA is getting a move on. I was going to mention on another thread that the story of ECAS updates on a Tuesday is not accurate. I have seen many times recently where they update on many other days. Mine was also updated on a Monday.

Hey help, no we havnt been asked yet to resend the medicals but as of May they are expired. I heard on another forum that the case officer can extend the medicals for up to a year so I am praying that is the case for us. This waiting is the hardest thing! Any news on yours?
