60 to 90 days for Initial Assesment at CIC-Canada.
next 120 days after initial approval from CIC for supporting documents submission.
then At Visa office 6 to 8 months (sometimes Depends on your luck too)

regards

I filed my initial application in April 2009 to CIC, got approval in June and submitted full documents in Aug 2009. Got the letter from Islamabad processing office in Oct 2009. After that no news?????

So I was wondering when will i hear from them!!

send case specific inquiry to ISB.. as per forum sources all the cases from ISB are transfered to England. against your inquiry Isb will tell u where ur case is at moment and who will deal your case.

Dear senior members...i am in the process of filling the forms i have some questions regarding filling out the form. PLS help me out

1. if one is divorced should he fill out the Qno. 10 in "applicaton of permanent residence in canada" which asks abt the previous marriage

2. In QNo. 13 what should i mention about current occupation although i am doing nothing for the last one month.

3. In Q20. where it asks that "where you intend to live in canada" can I mention any state though my bro. lives in toronto.

4 in additional family information it asks "i certitfy that i do nto have a spouse or common law partner, exspouse, or former common law partner" though I am divorced and we didn't have any childeren should i sign it or not.

5. In the application form where it asks about the "uncencumbered, non- transferable funds " how much i should mention

6. do i need to send the photocopies of educational and experience certs, blood relation proofs and copies of the passports when sending to Sydney NS canada at initial application step.

Yes you will need to fill out Q10 and provide details of your ex-wife.

2. In QNo. 13 what should i mention about current occupation although i am doing nothing for the last one month.
Unemployed

3. In Q20. where it asks that "where you intend to live in canada" can I mention any state though my bro. lives in toronto.
You can write any state BUT Quebec as Quebec government has its own immigration system ( unless your are applying under Quebec system)

4 in additional family information it asks "i certitfy that i do nto have a spouse or common law partner, exspouse, or former common law partner" though I am divorced and we didn't have any childeren should i sign it or not.
You dont need to sign it as you have a exspouse.

5. In the application form where it asks about the "uncencumbered, non- transferable funds " how much i should mention
You should mention atleast the minimum funds required for the immigration so if there are two applicants then your should mention atleast $13801 CAD.

6. do i need to send the photocopies of educational and experience certs, blood relation proofs and copies of the passports when sending to Sydney NS canada at initial application step.
No you willl need to send all these documents on the second stage.

I will appreciate your assisstance

thx. saki..but how People at Nova scotia will determine the eligibility if you don't send the exp. certificates, educational and other things like blood relation etc.. i mean how they will access it..
kindly reply
thx..bro

The people at CIO do not verify eligibility. They verify that your application forms are completed correctly, that you have paid the application fee, and your eligibility to apply for one of the three three categories (make sure you submit the correct documents based on your category). The local CHC verifies your eligibility based on the full documents...

The second payment is the Right to permanent resident fee and the request comes at the time they ask for your passports after your medical report submission.... Its 490 CAD per person. (its waived for minors)
