My negative ratings are almost entirely from "Nectar" fans who cannot bare it when I point out to them that Nectar never quotes his sources for his mysterious breaking news and that he is very often wrong. People only give positive ratings occasionally when they think to do so, whereas "neggers" never sleep.

And I never said do not express your opinion, I said you have no right to tell me I cannot express mine.

I notice you say nothing about the lies you told about me in your posts - making up things that I have not said. You take one comment of mine which I have already justified and explained several times and blow it out of all proportion.

Anyway, I almost have my visa and 99% of my time here is spent helping others, not helping myself. How much time have you dedicated to helping other people on here? Very little, I would imagine.

Once I get my visa I have to decide whether to stay on this forum and continue to dedicate hours and days of my life into helping people - or just stop wasting my time here. I was intending to stay - but people like you are doing a good job of changing my mind for me.

And now, once again you harp on about showing respect for others - yet you seem to show very little respect for anyone yourself. I suggest you have a long, hard look in the mirror before criticising others, sunshine.

YTNZ. You've a point and a valid one. The words like 'stupids', 'suckers' etc., used whenever, wherever and by whosoever, convey only one sense - insult and disrespect. For the newbies, I believe Qorax (with 5600+ posts and the full right to express his opinion) would be a better mentor since, over my last one year in this forum, I've never found a single post from him degrading anyone else. Hi Rawheal,

Address on ECAS appearing and disappearing is symptomatic of the transition from CAIPS (the old system) to GCMS (the new system).

Last time our address disappeared we had medical requests a few days later. Are you in process yet?

Anyway since you are an August 2010 applicant I believe your file would have initially been added onto CAIPS, and that this could signify is has been, is is being, transferred to GCMS.

Hopefully things will move faster for you now!

I guess we are now in the 'Summer slow down' but I'm hoping that we still continue to get good news from all VOs on a regular basis. Especially from VOs like Accra, Buffalo and London who seem to have just started to stir from hibernation......I'm really hoping they don't hit the snooze button for the summer! ;D

Hi Salman,

I hope you are well.

Ok, the thing to remember is that it is much better to rectify or improve your situation before the visa officer makes a decision on your application, than after it.

Therefore things to do asap
1) Get any additional documents which can further support the relationship to your Canadian relative
2) If you feel you are able to improve your IELTS score to an extent that will grand your more points, do it!

Any of these documents can be sent to the visa office at any time (even if your application hasn't arrived yet if you quote the file number on your correspondence they'll just keep it until it arrived).

Waiting until after the visa officer reviews your application THEN trying to improve your IELTS score is a bad idea since if they fail you they are very unlikely to consider additional documentation after that stage.

Files usually take approx 1 month to get to the visa office after PER, which means yours should be arriving any time now.

If I were you I would try to send as many additional documents as you can to prove this relationship (don't wait for IELTS), and then later on if you have an improved IELTS score, send that also.

If in case at any stage i got rejected due to this relationship thing...i have an alternate plan in my mind.

i will take ielts results immidiately and try to improve my score. and apply under July 2011 category.

Category 8222 skill people are very less and only 145 applications were received last year. this is because Oil industry is very small all over the world.

rite now..my evaluation is

education( bachelors of Mechanical engineering which includes 16 years of formal education)= 16 points
Language proficency: L=8.5, R=6,W=7 S 6.5 There fore =14 points
Working experiance 2+ under NOC 8222= 17
Age(25 years)= 10
Adaptibilty(wife MS in journalism(4) and relation ship in canada(5)= 9 points

total 70.... if incase relation ship is not accepted then it would be 65...so i should improve Ielts....OR i should wait by taking Risk till January 2012 to gain 3+ years experiance(if Cap doesnt reached which i accept it wont).

What are your expert opinion Wayne and indira.

Hope everything is fine and you will safely pass the eligibility review. I wonder as on what grounds you are counting on 16 points only for your Bachelors? I believe you will be granted 20 points on this. Pals, please give your suggestion on this.
