Can you share your PER date?

I think I am going to follow your advice and send the IELTS hoping this will help move things ahead a little bit.
I agree with your theories but the question is how come the dates that the ECAS gives about our 'Letter' is the same date as the one the other applicants received their PER? If ECAS was eroneous than how come it is correct for those who got their PER?

What I think happened was that our applications were looked at on the dates shown on the ecas but final decisions were not made on those days as per either of my theories above and since ecas is an automated information system it might have been programmed to generate responses as we are seeing on our screens when we log in, on the assumption that every applications once opened for review on a particular day would be completed within the day and an email will be sent by the officer at the end of the day . Since the review have not been completed however, a PER/NER email was not generated but there was no way to re-programme the system to indicate this. Hence we get to know that a final PER/NER had not been decided only when we call or make specific case enquiry to the CIO.

Again, this is what I logically assume must have happened, but as I said, it would have helped if we get more specific explanation from the CIO to our enquiries.

Dear architect,
Cairo VO sends an email informing the applicant that he will receive his medical request via DHL within a week.They inform you with the dhl tracking number.So you do not get your MR by post at all.For the Ecas, I think it is case specific.Most Cairo VO applicants have their e cas changed to in process in the same day they get MR email. But Om saif and I had our ecase changed to in process 15 days befoer we got our MR request.

I agree with Engy that medicals will be sent by DHL courier service so no worries about losing or missing it However I was not informed about medicals by email or even have been given a tracking number for medical package. Cairo VO called me from their local phone number a day before sending medicals informing me that they are going to send it today and the same happened for the passport request, Just by phone call as well. No letter or email asking for passport but a sweet telephone call from the embassy known landline

Since they have sent the email on 9th of March, if it's a PER then there is no need to send the IELTS results, if it's NER your whole application should be on the way to your mailing adress, in that case no need to send the IELTS, so in both cases there is no need to send the IELTS results.
Since you are able to check e-cas I assume you have your client id, in that case:
Try to contact Paris consulate, send them a query that you changed you phone, and ask them to update your application and wait for their feedback. Other solution is to send a letter to CIO with your email adress and your file number and ask them to re-send the PER or NER.
Also, if you have somebody in Canada you can order the CAIPS notes for free, otherwise there are some agency who can order them for you for money.

Thanks for the input. Let me answer on behalf of krokro and some of us that are affected by this. We have been working collectively and individually behind the scene and indeed we had been in touch with the CIO through all conventional and "creative" means and they have confirmed that our applications are indeed still pending review at he CIO and that we will each be contacted in due course once the review is completed. No specific reasons were given however to why the delay hence my theories 1&2 above.

I have also raised the possibility of CAIPS here a few days ago but someone responded in the line of CAIP note can only be requested for applications that have been received and are under processing at the visa offices. It would be nice if others can share their experience with us regarding this.

I sent our applications to Uk authory for our PCCs since 19th April. I called them yesterday and they said it is ready but have to wait till thursday before they can post it as that is their 10th working day after receiving my application.

I sent same applications to Nigerian High Commission in London for Nigerian PCCs, they processed their part within one week, we went to Hertfordshire Constabulary for our fingerprints. I then sent the fingerprints & the High commission's letter to Nigerian Police on saturday last week thru DHL. They got them yesterday, issued our PCCs within 2 hours and sent them back thru DHL. I just received them few minutes ago.

Must ACRO wait till 10 working days before they can post out PCC? Very disappointing

Dear VO cairo applicants, I received my PER on march 9th, the last update for ecas on april 30th was recieved by Visa Office. starting sunday may 1st, i cant access my ecas.... I sent a mail to the embassy but didnt receive yet any reply.... what is your opinion?????????????? thanks

Well marocain, that's just it!
We all got the same info on ecas, a letter was send blablabla....but we all haven't received a letter with PER or NER yet!
We are just waiting and waiting but nothing happens!

So Krokro, like 9j wrote, send in the IELTS and wake them up!
Maybe it will help to speed things up a little bit and we'll all get some news soon....any news would be fine as long it will end this horrible feeling of uncertainty!

I am really losing hope to get MR, PPR....ND VO is not replying to specific queries of exceptional delay in sending MR, PPR...I had thought of starting canadian med licensing exam preparation...but now it seems futile to start prep, which is also very expensive ...

I was thinking of getting my job transferred to my hometown after getting done with medical exam ,visa issues etc...But now i can nt wait more...i have to get my job transferred asap to my native town...My correspondence address is already at my native town....Even then shud i inform ND VO about my job transfer or leave it as such...???

Till date i am not aware of any background/job checks by nd vo...

Or shud i wait few more months at my present job site for ND VO response...???

Be positive. I am a doctor too and my application is also collecting dust somewhere in CHC ND. There is nothing else but to wait. I have waited for 7 long years since March 2004 but not lost hope. Applied on Jan 6 got to rbvo but still waiting for aor while those applied after me have already breezed through. My suggestion is, let life go on in India as if you have not applied. The wait will be intolerable if you put life on hold here.
