Hey Rahul,

I got to know that... we can open account in Scotia Bank while visiting to HDFC Bank branch in India. Is it true?

We need to carry following documents:

1. Valid Passport (Passport Number, Country of Issue and Expiry date)
2. Canadian Embassy letter (confirming approval for immigration) or Confirmation of Immigration Status in Canada (IMM5292)

Quick update, especially for applicants from Mumbai:-

Bank of Nova Scotia is no longer in Maker Chambers 6 @ Nariman Point but has moved to Bandra Kurla Complex.

Will be there later this afternoon regarding opening of account and repatriation of funds. Will post accordingly.

I received my MR Requests today ............. YES!
The letter is dated May 5. I need to send them RPRF, PCCS, Proof of Funds and valid passports.

I have one question ::
Should it change first to IN PROCESS in the Ecas status then we can expect to get MR or some will have MR without this Ecas update???
my original file no was E00 then when received 2nd AOR another file B05 issued, and E00 still there and valid, which I'm still using it to check my E-cas status

In addition to Wayne's comment, you follow this step:

Since this is a GOVT bank (SBI) and if they don't bother to tell you an update on BD, write a letter to branch manager requesting the same information, however kindly tell the importance of it & sign it.

Take it to the branch manager & he should help you this time...
