Hi all,
Medical completed today, included lung and heart sound auscultation, eye test, abdominal exam and medical questions re: medical history/surgeries/medications etc. Bloods taken for HIV & Syphyllis (ended up with a sore haematoma!). Urine tested for protein and glucose. They expect to have recevied results and arriving in London within 10 days!
EmmaJ

Congrats EmmaJ. We are going for our medical tomorrow morning but without Xray for my wife. We have decided to wait till delivery of the baby(which is 7 weeks time). One quick question: I have been feeling feverish since morning with high temperature. Do you think that will affect the medical? Our PCCs should be ready from next weekend. I sent our finger prints to Nigeria Police authority this afternoon after the fingerprints were taken by Hertfordshire Constabulary and approved letter from Nigeria High Commission in London. Everything should be ready after next week. I will then wait for 7 weeks for baby delivery and another wait for obtaining baby's documents.
London CHC said they hope to receive baby's application by August and I pray I am able to do so.

Shalom

Hi guys. A bit of a slow end to the week, huh? Was hoping for a flurry of news on the thread but maybe we'll here more next week.

Just phoned the police about our PCCs (we had to phone seperately because they wouldn't tell us about each other's certificates even though we are married and living at the same address). Mine was posted today so I should get it tomorrow (Saturday) or Monday. My wife's it seems is 1 day behind mine, so we should be in a position to post everything on Monday or Tuesday. Then back to waiting.

ECAS still the same - no MR received line yet, although I understand this can take up to 1 month and ours have been received just over 1 week so far.

Really hoping the earlier applicants who are still waiting here something by next week - you are in our thoughts!

Wayne.

Well my draft is still not en-cashed, although they receive it by 7th of April. So i think once they send out the MR there is a bit of delay for all of us OR specially for me as i am not from UK so security checks (confirming my PCC authenticity from PAK) might be taking a bit.

and My PCC story was just like you, before they sent me in 5 days this time they took 12 days....

lets see ill confirm again about my draft next week, for now its party time...

I am also researching about cities to live, Vancouver has the weather alike London with full of outdoor activities.. where you are going to stay and why you choose that city? your input.. Thanks
cheers

Hi Shalom,
All the best for medical tomorrow! No, I do not think a temperature will affect the medical, just make sure you take plenty of clear fluids and simple pain relief like paracetamol for you fever, and just let the doctor know how you are feeling. There is nothing they are testing that should be affected my your temperature.

Posting my RPRF and PCC in the morning!! Just want to confirm with other London applicants that we are mailing them to:

Immigration Section
38 Grosvenor Street?? or the return address quoted on envelope: 1 Grosvenor Square??

On the back of the initial MR letter it says to "quote your file number on all correspondance, including the envelope. Your file number is on the top right hand corner of the address label." So, is the file number the UCI number?????

Wayne I hope you get your PCC soon!

To all other fellow London applicants I hope and pray that you do not have to wait much longer!!!!

EmmaJ

Congrats on completing medicals!

Most people (including us) are mailing them to 38 Grosvernor Square. It's wise to add your class (FSW1) and NOC on the front of the envelope as well.

We're just awaiting fresh PCCs which should be here in the next few days then everything can go (our medical results already reached CHC London on 28th April).

All the best,
Wayne.

No problem in sending a case specific inquiry but they might take a month to reply.......and it will be all more disappointing if u get a standardized reply - 'Your application is under review.....blah blah......'.......u might as well receive MR by that time......

I'm RBVO since March 12, 2011 but haven't bothered to inquire......

Hi Everyone,

Need some sane and cooler heads to make sense of my situation. I am coming to the end of my tether. My application status is baffling me.

I am thinking of sending a case specific enquiry to NDVO.

Thanks
