came across a link, it says by paying a nominal amount 40$ - 60$ you can check the status of your application ( which stage it is in currently ) not sure if it's fake or genuine !!!!!

we paid a total of 5300 (2300+2300+700)......i haven't come across any info about updated charges....check with Indira as to how much she paid for her medicals since she did it just a few days back ::)....its surprising that they charged u more :o

I am quite surprised at the way ND VO is working ...... they must give clear instructions for the MR and also to the respective DMPs. B'lore is charging Rs 2300, Delhi (Max) is charging Rs 2750, Hyderabad (GYD) is charging Rs 2500. Though their instruction is crystal clear that the charge is Rs 2500 (18 years and above) ....I don't know then why this discrepancy...... ???

Cheers, Anil

CAIPS notes are genuine - they are basically are print-out of the information that CIC hold on your file. They contain a lot more information than ECAS.

However, they take around 45 days to get the printout. Also some cases are now fully moved over to GCMS and unsure whether GCMS notes can yet be obtained.

The new form has a GCMS tick box.

[quoteDear Lousie,
As a forum member with an AEO, I would like to share with you that CIO guys scrutinize the AEO applicant's file more strictly to avoid any fraud and they certainly call your Canadian employer to verify the facts , even though they have AEO approval from HRDC/SC with them. Have these guys called your employers? If not, may be you should send them a query.
Wish that you receive your per within couple of days.
Regards.][/quote]

I know they will double-check our application because of the AEO but there seems to be something strange going on....
I, and some other members but FSW1 applicants, apply in the same week around Christmas. We all haven't heard anything from CIO yet, but on ECAS it says that we all must receive a letter......but that's more than 1 month ago!
We all didn't receive a letter, no PER/NER, nothing.
Applicants after us did receive the same info on ECAS and GOT a letter/PER/NER, so this is very strange....
So that's why I'm saying CIO isn't handling the application in order when they are received.
I do hope so that me, and the others from that week, will get our PER soon....

We all send an e-mail to CIO and all got the same answers signed by the same initials...

Kind regards,
Louise!

My Dears!!!! I have received today Med Request!!!!!! This so cool!!!! Dated 5 april. Unfortunately, there is some drawbacks. The package was definitely opened. There is only one page for med examination for each member (section A). Nothing from these long long lists asking you about your medical history etc. 1 page some bla-bla about what to bring with you. I have 60 days to do medicals. And there is a huge mistake!!!!! :o The photos of 2 family members were confused with each other (wrong photos are stamped on the 2 forms). And no request for RPFP. So even that I am happy I am some confused

yeah i had the same apprehension, whether they would provide information on GCMS or not!!

Thanks Wayne!!

my ecas status changed from App Received to "InProcess" on 8 April

We received your application for permanent residence on January 19, 2011.

We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on March 16, 2011. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

Your application was reviewed and we started processing on March 16, 2011

But it has both the same dates !!! is it 2 AOR??

I haven't even thought about ordering them, largely because there is no way I could be arsed to wait 45 days when by that time we may have medicals etc and they'd be irrelevant.

To make the system viable they should be available within a shorter timeframe.

Although actually if they simply made all the damn information accurately available on ECAS there would never be any need to order CAIPS notes!
