Hi Om Saif.

I did not receive a 2nd AOR. It was the request for medicals straight away. I believe that post 26/6 applications treated with priority than older applications.

From the spreadsheet, I find that all times do tie in with my times to reach the medicals. Base your time calculations on mine and other Cairo applicants to get an estimate.

As for the eCas. The status has been the same and never changed. Guess they don't use it.

I will go for medicals on Saturday 2nd March. Results are expected to take from 4-6 weeks, after which they request your passport to stamp the PR on.

Wish you all the best.

Guys,
My e-CAS status has changed to 'RECEIVED BY VO'.
Pls update on the spreadsheet.
Thank you all.

I have chosen to read comments/progress of forum members once in a while, just a way of minimizing tension from CIO/VO long waits, than joining the spread sheet (due to work schedule) .

With regard to a second eligibilty review or outright visa refusal at any stage of the process for that matter, I have to say, with due respect, that under international law, immigrating to another country is a privilege and not the applicant's right. The people at CIO/VO know this, and so any litigations are likely not gonna yield the desired results. Typically, the best they could do in most cases is tender an apology/advice and/or a refund(rarely).

The best we can do is to present very well prepared application/documentation and keep fingers crossed.

My 2cents!

Does the CIO have a problem with applications received between 9-27 July. It seems that these applications were left behind whereas some November applicants are about to get their visas very soon !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Applications from August don't seem much better, if it's any consolation! Still only ECAS's word that anything is progressing, we haven't heard a peep from VO.

I think it is maybe that late September onwards were added directly onto GCMS and July to September were added onto CAIPS and have to be transferred to GCMS. That's my best guess about the delay though :(

Well with 1st April marking the start of full GCMS roll-out (supposedly) hopefully we will see a lot more life during April.

Really hope to get medical requests by end of April!

I think the VO s are not fully aware about the new system after 26-6
one of the first applicants at Cairo visa office got 2 AOR through the mail and it talks about 24 months processing but after that by one month he got another mail talks about 10 months processing and they mentioned to forget the first mail
so i think they will understand the new system step by step and until now VO s don't know about CIO full eligibility review

This is true and it has clearly happened to me

Are you sure mrni007 got rejected at VO stage? faraz_fahimi on page 1974 says it was all done at CIO and it was actually a NER. They share the same VO. Is there anybody else rejected at VO for a PER review?

Unfortunately it was actually a NER and was done at CIO. :( :( :-[ :-[

Hi Nitroxn,

No I have the same status in ECAS, sincerly hope that it changes positively.

Hey ND VO applicants,

has anyone status changed after submitting medicals and documents.

Thanks,

Hi Wayne,

Is it possible that VO gives a NER after completing the med and applicants sending the passport to VO.

I believe once the med's are done and passport are sent for stamping the only way VO can reject it would be due to a security check/ back ground check fail.

Please let me know your thoughts regarding this ,I'm bit anxious as I see the NER being issued at the VO stage.

Bindu

If they try saying we're ineligible at visa office, after we've received, in writing, correspondence from CIC stating the FINAL decision is that we're eligible - then they'd better have some damn good lawyers........

hello Ppl my ecas status changed to IN PROCESS today
We received your application for permanent residence on October 14, 2010.

We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on February 9, 2011. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

Your application was reviewed and we started processing on March 28, 2011.
Please update the same in the sheet

Hi Raj,

I sent my MR and passport by BlueDart and was delivered the next day, but in the courier tracking details I had got only a word saying "delivered", I requested BLue Dart to send me a delivery received acknowledgment and they sent me a scanned copy with the Guard seal on it but it does not mention any name or the delivery place and Blue Dart says the guards wont give there name and would just sign the delivery receipt and the parcel has been safely delivered to CHC , New Delhi. I dont have other option but to believe them...

Hope this info is of use to you

Regards
Bindu

Thanks buddy.. :) :) So it means we need to send these documents through registered post not from Courier as I think Courier cos. don't take parcels if needs to be deliver at PO Box. Correct??

hello Wayne,

can you please refer us to OP or other grounds to support your opinion on CIO eligibility review being final?

thanks,
Coffee

There is no such document, the VO agents can over-write CIO agents decision about eligibility review.
