Is it safe to send new Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) in advance even if the old ones that we sent havent expired. This is just in case ND VO requests new PCCs possibly because they have expired.

What do you think?

Alright Guys,

I got some good news and some bad news today... Which one do you wanna hear first?

DarKnight

Well until you tell us either, how can you possibly expect us to comment?

Wayne.

LOL! :D

Well, the Good News is that I got the Medicals Request + Request for Landing Fee.

And the Bad News is that they didn't ask me for the Passports for stamping. :( :'(

Good news first. Then bad news.

Not very sure about US/FBI police clearances, perhaps a US applicant can better comment?

But generally don't bother getting anything unless they ask for it IMO, else it could just be a waste of time and money.

Wayne.

Dear Wayne,

Thanks for your input... :D

how is that possible. request for landing fee requires you to send the original travel document..

amar12345,

Actually, that's right according to the trend.

But, unfortunately in my case, the letter which they've sent is also quite different from the one which Anil had posted earlier.

They want us to submit the Medical Results and Landing Fee ONLY.

It's really surprising and in fact I was so excited that I didn't even notice this fact till just now, when I read the letter carefully. :(

Wicked Blues,

It is my understanding from what I have read in this forum that for CIC the Police clearance are valid for 6 months. As a lot of things in this forum are mainly based on people's opinion and not based on real facts I wouldn't worry. I checked CIC (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/police-cert/north-america/united-states.asp) and in their website there is no mention of the matter. NOt in the general section nor in the specific for the US. So I think you should be ok.

Not to mention you haven't been here in 4 years!

Rod ;)

Dear Rod,

Appreciate your input... :) and congratulations as your status has chaged to RBVO... Hope you get the AOR & MR soon... ;D

YAY~~

Fellas! Buffalo is moving now! My status changed to RBVO this morning. It is a good sign after a long silence! Let's pray for more positive progress in a not very long future.

Wayne, please update my status from CIO-ER to RBVO. Thank you,

Are you sure that it is not a clerical mistake?

Pretty sure nitroxn,

As I said, the contents of the letter are quite different as well. So, it could not be just a page missing or something like that.

Hey everyone,

Has anyone heard that the Visa office issues a different file number than CIO? Especifically that visa office issues a B number and CIO the E number?

Rod ;D

Hi Fella,

Not sure about this. My case number starts with the B0. Since our cases have just arrived at VO, they may not be issued the new number yet. We will see what's happening next once our files are in the stage of in process.

By the way, which state are you in the states?

My documents have three checkboxes
1) RPRF
2) Medical Exams
3) Original Passport with any old expired passport.

How about you? Also have you considered re-submitting PCC as they may expire in due process and VO may request again. If we submit PCC again there is a good chance that they wont ask again in future. what do u think. Please let me know.
