One of the members of the British Expats forum is a former (now retired) visa officer and he told me that immigration officers work at different speeds.

So IMO there are going to a lot of things which effect how fast they mi
ght issue medical requests
1) Aformentioned speed/efficiency of the immigration officer reviewing your case
2) Complexity of your case - how many dependents, how many countries you have lived in, if you've held any government positions, your travel history etc
3) NOC code - some NOC codes may be faster than others. I imagine science-based NOC codes may involve more thorough checking than manual labour related work with regards checking authenticity of work references and educational documents etc

And there's probably a bunch more factors as well that I haven't listed here.

So basically we are going to see medical requests come out in a somewhat random order. We've already seen this at Manila and New Delhi so no reason to believe London will be any different.

Of course, it does add stress and paranoia to earlier applicants who are wondering why they haven't had their medical requests yet!

But let's see what this week brings.

hello everybody.....

we had or MR last March 4 and the results were already sent to my VO last March 17........ called my bank a while ago and told me that the DD that I purchased as payment for our RPRF that I sent last March 8 (together with the new PCC) was already encashed....... please tell me that this is one good news ;) ..... does this might mean also that everything is in order and all of the necessary checks (SC; BC) already done?......

Congrats! It's definitely a good news. I read that the VOs will not en cash your RPRF until they are ready to stamp your passports :)

Wish you receive the stamped passports before end of March :)

Thanks,

Indira Prabhakaran.

hey everyone,

Sounds very good indeed - I doubt they would cash the RPRF unless they were in a position to issue the visa :)

IMO you shoud expect PPR within the next week or two.

By the way, how do you know when the medical results reach the visa office?

Hi. Yes it's completely optional, unless they ask for further proof you do not have to send anything after the initial application.

But since we had saved the extra money anyway we figured it was worth paying £1.15 for the recorded delivery letter to include the statements. Worst case scenario is it won't make any difference - but it could speed things up a bit if they decided they wanted to see some monetary funds in addition to our house equity.

Also if you follow the operations manual to the letter, then they will only ask for additional proof of funding for pre-June-26 applicants, so they *could* technically just fail your case straight away if they are unsatisfied with proof of funding for post-June-26. For the sake of £1.15 we thought we wouldn't risk it! :) That's to the letter of the manual, I imagine it depends on the discretion of the immigration officer reviewing the application at the visa office, though.

But then if you wouldn't have enough funds, then CIO ‘d refuse you at the first stage of their eligibility review, we had some cases showing that.

Anyway its optional again! If you think it's the right thing to do for you – you the Boss!

Thank you for reply !

The clinic where we had our MR is very accommodating..... they told us that they have a holding time of two weeks for the result of our MR..... a day before our 2nd week time line, I called them and asked of the status of our MR and she told me that they have already sent our Medical Report to the VO....

Thank you shareen, indira, wayne ... :)hope everything will be ok n our medicals.. :) :) we'll keep you posted..
