Dear Victory,Victory said::-* VO Singapore, pls wake up now :-*
I'm very pisses off that my status is still showing 'received by visa office' although my application was received by the CIO on 9th July, while some mid October applicants to the same VO have received their medical check request. This is just nonsense. I don't think it has anything to do with my eligibility to immigrate (my score is 77) or the complexity of my case (since they haven't even started looking at it!) but merely with the place of origin. Even if Canada has officially cancelled the preferential treatment to European immigrants, it is obviously still their in the mind of some immigration officers.Cappuccino said:Of course, it does add stress and paranoia to earlier applicants who are wondering why they haven't had their medical requests yet!

ekram787 said:Dear Indira/Anil/Wayne,
I am giving you a proposal: Can you please add another TAB/page in the spreadsheet (dedicated for tracking) for ‘elaboration of abbreviations' for new comer!
Example:
TAB Abbreviation:
* CIO = Centralized Intake Office in Sydney Nova scotia - where you sent your application. Sometimes it is mentioned as CIU (Centralized Intake Unit).
* CHC = Canadian High Commission - refers to the Canadian embassies, Visa offices, and Consulates.
* AOR = Acknowledgement of receipt letter.
* RPRF = Right of Permanent
* FILE BF'D TO: File forward to
* SEC CRIM : Security criminal
* SELDEC: Selection Decision
* PSDEC: Paper Selection Decision
* BDEC: Background Decision
* OREQ: Other Requirement
* MEDDEC: Medical Decision
* FINDEC: Finantial Decision
* IMMCAT: Immigration Catergory
* SW1: Skill Worker 1
* NCR: No Criminal Record
* M01-MO7 : level of Medical assessment. M01 means perfect
* PS: Prescreen (another explain is Paper selection)
* PA: Storage area of your file
* AUTHORITY: ARW, LM seems to be officer's name
* PPS: point at paper screening stage
* PI: Principle immigrant
* XREF: cross referenced applicant
* FOSS: is a central database of applications
* NOC: National Occupation Classification

I have added PER, CIC, >J26 and <J26 to include some of our in-thread abbrieviations, and also ordered the sheet alphabetically by abbrievation.ekram787 said:Thanks Indira/Anil/Wayne for hearing me as a junior member of this forum!

Not yet It's the good old RBVO and with the 2 lines inside I am not expecting it to change until i receive the 2nd AOR in hand though.victor.shareen said:Thanks Indira
n btw no issues about the TRV....take ur time
ny updates on ur ecas ?
As explained to asaif, we are August applicants and are native English residents - and currently don't yet have our medical requests - so there's no hard evidence yet that they are favouring European applicants.Amro Elsayed said:Me too saif i'm still received by VO i don't know what is the reason it is very clear to me that our application arrived before Oct. applicant

aakash28 said:Friends,
Today i received a postal mail from Singapore CHC. Looks like a 2nd AOR. It says that they will do the final determination of the application like all other Singapore applicants have received so far. Also, it has given me a new file number which cannot be tracked on E-CAS system now. However, i can still track with my CIO file number and it shows "RBVO".
It also says that, if the application is eligible for processing, then they will begin it on a priority basis.
No instruction on PCC or MR at all.
Thanks,
Aakash
