That is the PER that you received. They always say "letter" even when it's an email.

A couple of us have "we have sent a letter" as our status without CIO really sending us an email. And funny enough those "letters" take forever to be delivered (even when the applicant lives in Canada, I just dont understand it) just like desiguy pointed out.

I have a friend living here in Canada whose 'letter' was sent out since mid-Feb and he still hasn't received anything AND We both DIDNT RECEIVE ANY EMAIL. Only the good Lord knows what that letter of theirs contains

Be sure to check all your spam folders, since I'm 99% sure if you put an email on the application form the PER will be an email.

Yeah 9j, You're right. I noticed the date my application was received by CIO was coded as 29th Dec 2011 instead of 2010.

I live in Canada already as a temporary resident and since they sent me a letter last week, I'm expecting it to reach me this week. i just hope its good news. This whole process is too long to go thru again

I have realized that Dr.Alex from cairo visa office has recieved his medicals on the 15th of march. I have tracked all posts here and nothing posted about that though its present in the spreadsheet tracker. Is that true that he has recieved his Medicals ??

sorry for being late to inform you that i have recevied e-mail from the canadian embassy in cairo yesterday stating the following:
Dear Sir,

This refers to your application for permanent residence in Canada.

Kindly be advised that your medical instructions as well as a list of our designated medical practitioners in Saudi Arabia are ready to be picked up by prepaid courier with a request for the payment of the landing fees and instructions. You may arrange for a pre-paid courier to pick up your envelope from the embassy, our current collection hours are Sunday through Wednesday at 3:00PM only.

Please note that you are also required to provide us with the following documents in order to proceed with your file:

1. Proof of availability of the funds. The minimum required amount for a family of ........

2. Updated police certificates from Saudi Arabia for you and your spouse.

Please note that you are required to provide us with the above within 30 (thirty) days of the date of this email.

All Arabic original documents submitted must be accompanied by English or French translation.
