I told you yesterday. I was very sure of your PER because a NER does not have Ecas status.
I am so happy for you. I can imagine the level of smile on your face.
Congrats

Could you please explain more, because I have see someone who was able to access his e-case and still got a NER?

Looks like it is very slow. Haven't moved any where. I think we need to wait untill we receive first second aor, so we can track the time line where it stands.

Thanks,

Pradeep

Hello all,

Today I just recieved my 2n AOR by post :) I am glad cairo office is working. However I am not happy about the content of the letter. They just mentioned that it takes at elast 24 months to finalize the file. The 2nd sentense is, If you did not hear from us within 6 months, pls contact us. hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

I would like to have your inputs on this D:

Thx 3amoooor :) I am glad they moved on but still I have a concern about the 24 months least timing. It should have been 24 months in average if they want to mention this long time. Added to that average processing time for files between feb 2008 to june 25th 2010 is 19 months in total according to cic. So now how come it is that slow for priority files with complete application package ! ! !

I do not like the way cairo visa office works since a long time. Totally disrespectful and no way to reach them if there is a real need of some enquiries.

By the way, they gave me a different number than the application file number given by CIO :) cheers

;D

It looks like there is no applicant preceding me in the spreadsheet, who have applied from Sydney, Australia VO. So, there is no way to GUESS any timeline for the 2nd AOR....hmmmmm...

Moori, don't you think the long timeline is just their way of giving them extra time to work with? The fact they say to contact them if you haven't heard in 6 months sounds the same as other letters with shorter timelines. Remember how everyone was upset hearing from CIO about the 33 week issue - perhaps this is akin to that. Be happy your application is progressing steadily. Good luck.

Dear Pippin,

I am so grateful my application is progressing as you just mentioned :) I would agree that 24 months will be the maximum amount of months required to finalize the application despite their wording (( at least )).
My concern is about me travelling back and forth from canada to egypt to canada again. This is all because I have not been informed with precise time lines. So now, I have to take a decision based on some guessing

Anyways, we shall see what happens in the coming couple of weeks :)
