We are between 3 and 4. I believe VO will not issue 2nd AOR when they receive the paper file, they will only issue it when they are ready to start processing. We think they may run security checks parallel with medical requests, but background checks (document and employer verification) they will probably do first. So this accounts for the few days between 2nd AOR and med requests being sent. If an applicant's documentation is convincing then they may not run any employer checks and simply go straight to meds and security checks.
I think most visa offices will be in "action" by the end of March, unfortunately some of us will have to wait longer than others but I believe the delays will be weeks rather than months. It's fairly evident that either post-June-26 applicants are getting priority at VO, or that a seperate unit or team is handling the applications, hence the spend of med request issues at Manila VO.
Just my 2 cents ;)
Wayne.

ND VO takes about 3 months to issue the visas after we submit the passports and medicals :(, Yes, they ask us to send the passports along with the medicals. So, if they start to send medical requests by end of March, the first visas for ND VO will come in by June :)

Thanks,

City? And this is a personal question :) Why Alberta? I see they have some of the harshest climate there? BTW, i ask this coz AB is on our list to settle :)

Thanks,

Indira Prabhakaran.

No problem Indira... the single most important reason for us to settle in Alberta is the "Oil and Gas" industry! Being an engineer myself, it's my objective to enter into Canadian oil and gas industry! Haven't decided about the city as yet though :)
Do pray!

Thanks

Alberta also has certain other advantages. It is a debt-free province, and as a permanent resident you can full NHS and healthcare the moment you land, as opposed to most provinces where you have to wait 3 months before you can access the NHS system there.

We visited Calgary on our last holiday to Canada last year. My only real concern is that it is very dry, we had to use lipbalm and we were only there a couple of days. I guess you get used to it though :)

Hello everybody

my settling destination is TORONTO, ON

Our intended province is Ontario or Alberta (in that order.) Although we can give our preference, it will ultimately be decided by my future employer, and depending on the time it takes to get PR, it might even be another province...

As we previously lived in Toronto (for a year,) I can tell you that it is a great place to live, but housing is incredibly expensive!

Kris

Well! We are planned to land in Toronto, ON.
Please update spreadsheet accordingly.

Cheers!Raj.
