My two bits:pardis1975 said:Hey there,
I have talked with my consulant and he believed Visa office will do all the assessments including verifying the eligibility, number of points, authenticity of the documents and security check. CIO (Sydney Office) is not doing much except they send back ineligible files and distribute those they think they are eligible but their decision with regard to eligibility is not final.I f he is right then it means our process will take longer than before ...I am confused
Best regards
I think u are right .... we have to wait to see what VO will do ....Hopefully we can get good news soon ....odin2404 said:My two bits:
Most agents, are surprisingly clueless about the new procedure. I've met a few of em here. However, having said that, it's not for me to discredit anyone's info.
I guess a utopian situation would be when a VO joins the forum and provides answers - but then again, we wouldn't want them away from our files would we?
So, till a few responses post PER start coming in, and enuff data to begin another excellent excel, I guess we're reduced to opinions and guess work.
Please update us with your NOC and the Payment type and the date of encashment and please also if you send your PCCkhan 786 said:new rules are very wonderful to the worker and they only need to work for 2-4 years starting from their arrival in Canada to be able to apply and be eligible for permanent residence....

Completely agree. I had another application with Doc submission - Ecas said we started processing your application on the 28th of Feb 2008. Haven't heard of it since, its coming up on three years now.wenstumped said:Well, it's true that we may not be going as fast as we would like to be, but let's be honest; we would want to get the visas on the same day we apply. That of course is not possible. Comparing our situations to those of earlier applicants like the 2005 batch who had to wait for 4-5 years for their visas, we are waaaaaaaay better off. So compared to them, we are definitely 'fast track'.
