Hi Wayne,

I guess e-cas is updated by CIO and not by VO, and i believe that is the reason why people with different VO got the status on the same day.
I think, we can not conclude that if we have a status on e cas, our files have reached VO.

Regards,
Grasshopper

I agree with you. I also think that CIO was busy last week in updating the e-cas for all post-june applicant who received their PR, or even the ones that have been processed (up to end of October), and that may explain why no PER was recieved last week.

lol! ;D the good thing with inquiring about your status thru email is that they will send you your file number.. I checked mine by using the file number that they sent me and it's "In Process". However, I dont have any medicals like what the other guys have.

carl128, sorry for the curiosity ;D but can't understand your status right now (or did I miss anything?)..... in the spreadsheet it says that you still don't have your PER and you needed to submit your GEN IELTS..... but with ECAS, it says that you are "IN PROCESS"?...... ;)

Guys,
I have problem. My e-cas states following message.

We received your application for permanent residence on August 26, 2010.

Medical results have been received.

But , i never went for medicals and neither i have received my medical request. what shall i do now?

Many people's ECAS (including my own) say that the medicals have been received. It's just a glitch.

Interesting point beaanddrei about the status being in progress for the people who have to redo the IELTS. Clearly it's too difficult to add a "AWAITING IELTS RESULTS" status to their database. :P

Don't you worry, this is not a rare case anymore, because some members received very odd information on their e-case and some even have same situation with you.Cheers!!It is only a glitch perhaps, just informed them about it.

Hi There Canadajimmy,
I can see in our post-june spreadsheet that few applicants e-cas status is "in process" but they havent received their PER yet!! How can they check e-cas status without file number?

Thankx in advance.

Look back a couple of pages and you'll find I've already answered this, it's also answered on the blog!

Hi all,
My e-cas also shows "In-Process" with following details -
We received your application for permanent residence on August 5, 2010.

Medical results have been received.

One of my friends' e-cas (a pre June 26 applicant and who has received AOR from VO) shows following details -

We received your application for permanent residence on June 10, 2010.

Medical results have been received.

Your application and supporting documents were received by the Sydney, Nova Scotia - C-50 office. They are pending review.

Congrats dear .......

I can smell me PER coming :o :o ..... But it is surprising that your File # starts with E instead of B ...... How about the other number (there will be 2 numbers/ identification references) ..... Any one with same situation??? Congrats again .......

Cheers, Anil

There are two numbers in the PER. UCI number is all numeric and application number is Exxxxxxxxx. And I am able to check ECAS with the E number. So I guess its fine. Thankyou everyone for your wishes and congrats to others who got theirs on 26th.

Since applicants who were requested to re-do IELTS recently (after receiving PERs) also have 'medical received' status online, and the email request from CIO to re-do IELTS mentions specifically that their files have not yet been transferred to VO for further processing (though previously mentioned in PER) -therefore it cannot be considered that a 'medical received' status necessarily means that files have reached VOs. However, 2 months since the first few PERs is a time long enough for even a snail mail with the files to reach VOs.

CONGRATULATIONS FOR PER RECEIVERS ALL THE BEST IN THE REST OF THE PROCESS
HOPE LANDING WILL BE SAFE AND SOOOOOON :D
