Is it true that applications returned in august 2010 due to incomplete status are being received now by many candidates as i ve been told that they were sent by ship so could take upto like 3 months .....So should i also wait for like another 15 days or so before making a new application !!!!!!

Hi Doc Manu:

Your NOC has only 226 people in it, therefore not in danger of being filled immediately. If it was me, I would wait another 15 days so I get my original documentation, before sending it to CIC. Obviously it is a decision you need to make on your own... Best of luck to you!

Well, i am not sure about the AOR timing. This may be a bad news. One of my friends in canada is applying in FSW1 category and his lawyer told him to wait for february to complete his one year experience. Lawyer told him that his NOC is not going to get filled and CIC will only start contacting applicants in april, so it doesn't matter if you apply now or later. All the applicants will get AOR around the same time around april. I am not sure if i should believe this but if i don't see any AOR for 1122 people in couple of weeks, i would buy his lawyer's version.

I also know from personal experience that immigration lawyers are full of cr*% and don't always tell you the truth. I doubt any immigration lawyer knows more than the 33 weeks that people are being told. These lawyers hate to admit ignorance and they are very good at sounding like they know what they are talking about. Personally, I do not trust them very much :)

I see no reason for CIC to wait until April and send out all AORs at the same time, since this will mean a massive influx at visa office. Surely it is better to send to visa office a few applications at a time as their eligiblity reviews are complete than send 20,000 out in one go?

Hello fellow applicants:

How about a friendly wager between us to pass the time, while we wait for AORs to come out :)

Everyone seems to have a theory as to when we will have the first post June AOR out, so name your date and let's see who the winner will be... just for fun of course :P

I say... ::) ... we will see the first AOR on December 15 8)

What do you say?

Just now I called CIC ....my documents were recieved last Nov.8,2010... and the lady said they were still checking documents got on Sep... she also told me I would get news by email in 33 weeks after my file would be transferred to my visa office ....

pardis 1975,i was just thinking of calling CIC too,my application got there on the 1st of Nov and i have not heard anything,if the lady said they were still checking september application, how come some people that their application got their Nov 3rd have gotten their CC or BD cashed, even if the application is incomplete they should let the applicant know in time to rectify and submit the remaining documents.

hi everyone! pls share your thoughts on this: my spouse and i are currently unemployed. we just came from a 5 month visit from the US, that's why we had to quit our jobs. is being unemployed a ground for refusal? pls help.

By "still checking" I think she means they are doing eligiblity reviews for September applications.

Encashment happens after completeness check, and before eligibility reviews, and this usually takes a few days to a couple of weeks.

Well, you can try also ...it was what she told me... But I think it is better you wait at least 1 week more ....from what I got they were checking end of Sep. application.....For my case I am not worried it would take 1 year or more .....just as long as I would be sure I am in the line I can wait ...now I have many thing to do here in my country and get myself and my family ready for immigration….

First AOR Tuesday, 1 February 2011.
Doc Manu: possibly waiting a bit longer for the AOR seems to be the only downside to waiting if you have not yet put together your documents.
Regarding 33 weeks: the mention of taking TWO PLUS MONTHS TO return documents to applicants "by ship" suddenly made me think they COULD be stockpiling the eligible applications to send to each VO in a large batch "by ship" which would account for a chunk of those 33 weeks. Surely, they CAN'T be waiting for all NOCs to fill (or perhaps they thought they would have filled at a faster rate than they have). My nickel (2 cents + HST)

I will go for 10th Dec for the first AOR ;0).

If they are stockpiling applications to bulk send to VO, it is still incredibly unfair to wait THAT long before letting applicants know if they have passed the eligiblity review or not. Their customer service, judging by my experience and others I am now reading about, is amongst the poorest I have ever witnessed.

I know we are asking to enter their country, but they are asking the world for skilled and educated people to fill gaps in their system. As I have always said, it is a 2 way process.

If they really must wait for 33 weeks to bulk send to VO, then at LEAST inform applicants as soon as feasible if their eligiblity review is successful. How much would it hurt to send out an email "You have passed your eligibilty review, we expect your application to be forwarded to visa office in April 2011"?

Any other company on the planet that a customer has paid $700 to $2000 to plus several months application document gathering would not get away with the complete SILENCE that CIC are showing their customers, and by the look of it are going to continue to show.

Sorry, didn't mean to start a rant, it just turned out that way! :)

Dear Applicants:

One last thing, the date of AOR would be when CIC has issued it and not when our thread finds out about it. ;)

For example:

On Jan 15 it is reported to the thread that someone's cousin's best friend's barber has mentioned that their aunt's son in law's boss, at the bakery, has mentioned they got an AOR on Jan 8.

In the example above, the effective date of the AOR is Jan 8 and not 15, thank you! ;D

Please abide by the rules, remain seated, refrain from smoking, and keep your hands where they can be seen at all times... :)

Thank you,
Cam
