As i seen CIO has changed some questions in application form.I'm not sure it would be harm to my application or not bcz I used the old one.

*Please check the new updated instruction guide for CIO (check on site cic in guides /EG7)

I observed 3 changes;

** 1st if you are SW1 and sending by courier, this is the new address:
196 George Street Sydney, NS
B1P 1J3
Canada
and the old address is now valid for peoples who r sending by regular mail, which is:
PO BOX 7500 Sydney, NS
B1P 0A9
Canada

**2nd, for application IMM008-schedule 3-Economic classes, (check cic site forms /imm0008_3e)

you will find in page 2 , a new added question(No.12), for prefered NOC if you have more than acceptable one under the new 29 job list.
It's illustrated on page 29 of the guide.

**3rd, if you have more than 2 NOC acceptable under the 29 job list, you have to write both of them in order of preferance on the envelop from outside.
It's written on page 35 of the guide under mailing instruction guide.

As you know I sent my application to CIO one month ago ,and off course I combined all documents with English translation from a certified translator.I reviewed the translation rapidly and sent along with other documents,however I discovered some problems in the translation while I read soft copies of the translations that was sent from the translation office later on.

I found the that the translator has mistakenly translated my birth date in my birth certificate (he wrote twenty seventh of November instead of twenty eight)
Also in the marriage contract he wrote my birth place so different from the actual one (He wrote mine the same as my wife's birth place)

Will this cause my application to be rejected!! and what shall I do regarding this.......
If any one has encountered the same problem please tell me what to do

Please make corrections as soon as possible and send with covering letter, but there is fix u dont have any reference to quote, anyway there is no harm in trying dont keep quite and send them.

Meanwhile I would also suggest that you prepare a fresh set of translation, just in case your application is returned. That way you would be able to re-submit as soon as possible.

Dear temasek and fma thanks for your prompt reply
I don't know what to do,but will they review my documents at the CIO .As far as my understanding to the new rules,that they will make completeness check then legibility determination based on points calculation,then they will transfer the the whole application to the VO for final determination in which they will carefully examine the application against selection factors .So I think they may give a file number at that time I can send an amendment to the previously sent documents.
what is your opinion?

Hi

I would suggest you to send an ammendment to CIO office, with a explaination letter. As per VO office Delhi, you may send left documents to CIO till the time the file is transfered to India. They may consider.

You need to mention the following so that CIO may trace your earlier package if not opened till now:

Your name
DOB
Passport number
NOC

As per web information still post 25 June applications are not opened.

Hi FMA,

Time for an update from my side

My husband appeared for the IELTS today and he said he did it average(God knows what his average is :-\)He missed out the first few lines of listening and so he was not able to attempt few answers At least he got hold of it and was able to go through the whole one Smiley Also he dint have time for a proof read for the writing section and any other part for that matter.. He said he did well in reading and OK in speaking.

BTW i still have my fingers crossed until Sep 3rd 8) ??? : :-X :-\ :'(

UK PCCs are applied and on the way hopefully. Did i hear somewhere getting a PCC from the Police dept is far easier than getting it done from a passport office? I see contradicting statements elsewhere in the forum. We are thinking of attempting to get one from passport office in Coimbatore on the 27th Aug. Let's see how well it goes..

As of now, we are confident on sending the BIG ENVELOPE on the Sep 3rd(yes on the day of the IELTS results), BTW can someone confirm if we have to wait for a few more days to get the TRF in hand? If yes, we will have to target to send the package on the 6th Sep. Hope we will be lucky enough to make it into the 1000 CAP

Hi guys,

I have a question to which I need ensured answer please;

*I have a daughter 2 years old. In Egypt, it's not nessesary to have a national ID & passport for childs, but they r added to the mother passport to be able to travel with parents. These rules r changed now and later on I can issue a child ID and separate passport. So, while filling my apps which I sent already and CIO recieved on 28 July 2010, I mentioned that ID & passport for my child is N/A. I sent a copy of my wife passport which includes my daughter.

*Any one has a confirmed information if they will accept that and ask for separate child passport later on when they approve my application?, OR they never accept it and they'll return it.

Please give me documented info. and address the link if possible, Regards.

HI everyone. I have some dilemma, I am about to send my initial application, however I am having a second thought since my Police clearance is dated July 1, 2010 and they said that PCC should not be more than three months. Its still one month within the said period when they received my application. Should I request a new one before sending or use it otherwise?
