DM after 453 days of initial application received date. It is a voyage not meant for weakhearted. Three more stages to go. Passports to be received. Landing to be completed. PR card to be received. Miles to go before I sleep .

Actually I can breathe free now. Till yesterday, near future was not deceided. At least now I have a road to trek.

We finally received our passports with Canadian PR visas a while ago, today.

Though surprisingly, they were delivered by TCS to our home.

Glad that you are finally considering applying for GCMS! You absolutely can apply on your own! As Mitali said either through a relative or friend in Canada (for $5) or through webagencies like lawpoint.ca (for $25 to 35)... if you need help please let me know... but on fb

I tried going through my GCMS it says security medical not started...and eligibility passed....what does eligibility pass means...does it means they have accepted my work experience or will they check into it more...

i couldnt find anything else....and since march this year they have not updated my file.....
What is bring forward date and where can i find it on my GCMS...?....and what significance does this bring forward date hold...?....

Eligibility passed, IMO, means you have passed the basic eligibility for applying for PR i.e. your points based on age, education, experience, english etc... the employment check or others will be still to happen...

Brought Forward Date or BFD is the date when VO will look at your file again... In the GCMS, under ADMISSIBILITY head, you will find a "DUE DATE" written... that will be the BFD...

I sent updated form to LVO according to their instructions after my child birth , with updated figure of settlemnt funds . LVO does not requied updated POF with updated forms requirement . Now the amount of settlement funds mentioned in updated forms is higher than the amount i mentioned in my bank statement sent with initial set of documents in July 2011.

What should i do , should i send updated bank statement to LVO or wait for their response ?

I would send updated bank statement just to make sure they wont take on account the figure u've submitted. But you should not sent POF until they specifically ask for it.

Yes, the same situation being faced by me since yesterday. may be its system maintenance issue or some work is being done on long awaiting applicants cases like u and me
