It seems that the fact we got our addresses on our e-cases means absolutely nothing. Hahaha, just a new look to our e-cases. Stay positive everyone!!!

I agree. There are reports all over the internet that addresses have reappeared.
Although we wish it was related to an update, it looks more like a change in the ecas system not related to case progress.

Similarly to some other people on this forum, we had our address added to our e-case file. And just as them we would like to know what it means. We think it's a good sign, but any insight is highly appreciated.

Nobody has been able to crack the mystery behind the "appearance/dis " of address on Ecas. For some it has brought Good news and for some no change at all. I believe, that some activity has taken place when this happens and it might be a minor one which has no importance for us but maybe to the VO.

I wish all of you get the GOOD NEWS soon.....

Metalhawk, to answer your question, my file was transfered to NYCVO from Buffalo on Jan 10 2012. They were processing my file long before it showed IN PROCESS on ECAS...back in March they began criminality checks. ECAS changed to IN PROCESS 2 days after I sent an email inquiry. The day it changed to IN PROCESS, is the day my Medical Requests are postmarked. Go figure.

I sent the passport to cairo visa office 40 days ago and didn't receive them back until now.
Inspite of people usually receive their passport back after 21 days.
I don't know why Huh If there is any problem or due to that we are dealing with OTTAWA visa office ?
