Hello,

Nice to be back in this thread. Just got my returned docs from our main post office. A very frustrating day since I just got a very very minor mistake. The CIO was asking for a schedule 1 background to be completed by my spouse. I've overlooked this one co'z I was thinking that this form will only be completed by the principal applicant alone & not the spouse & any accompanying child 18 yrs old & above. Just a very slight misunderstanding on the instructions.

I shall say very frustrating since we could have resubmitted our applications even the following day we received the docs to make it to the NOC 1122 cap limit had we received it earlier.

just wanna know if ur BD/CC was encashed.... and ur return date..

E-cas status has now medical received removed but it still says -

We received your application for permanent residence on August 5, 2010.

Your application was reviewed and we started processing on November 23, 2010.

I wonder how many of our forumers have the additional second line mentioned like mine.

This is interesting because 23rd November was the date you received PER.

Which indicates to me they count "IN PROCESS" as the moment you pass the eligibility review, regardless of whether or not the visa office have looked at your application yet.

IMO the 2nd AOR is the indication that visa office have your paper file and have actually begun processing it with security/background checks.

I also reckon that probably ECAS is still a manual process rather than a "push" from their live data. Bottom line is that I would not rely very much on what ECAS says!

Most of us now I guess who have received PER are waiting for 2nd AOR from our visa offices which will indicate they have begun security checks. I think medical requests will come within 2 months of receiving the 2nd AOR - but the AOR itself will be very visa-office-centric. Slower offices like London and Buffalo, especially London who deal not only with UK applications but also with Pakistan applications, will probably be some way behind the office visa offices in issuing 2nd AORs.

To make it more interesting the line - 'Your application was reviewed and we started processing on November 23, 2010' was not there in the beginning. It was added few days after E-cas was updated and it is not removed in the latest E-cas update which shows that this line was not added unintentionally.

i am so happy because i got my PER today. i sent my application NOC 3152 last sept 28, 2010 and was received by CIO Oct 4, 2010.

hopefully my NOC will still be there come July 2011. my BD was not encashed & my complete applications were returned last Sept. 29, 2010 & I received it Feb 4, 2011. You can see the time line it took me to received the docs. However I'm planning to reapply but my wife will be the principal applicant since her noc 3113 is still open. hopefully she could take the ielts asap.

Hi - yes if you have a route now under FSW1 definitely apply, and make sure the application gets there before 30th June. The reason being you cannot guarantee which NOC codes will still be on the list next year, both 1122 and 3113 could be dropped (unlikely, but possible).

Both of luck with your application, get your wife to book IELTS test asap!

HI Paradis1975, I had also received similar reply from CIC without any ref number. I got my PER in a few days after that. So dont worry.

There is no surity of any NOC that it will be "surely" included next year, if you wait next year june, then you are taking a BLIND RISK, while if your spouse take IELTS immidiately then rite now you have "A CHANCE" to make it before June 2011.

Until now I have'nt received any response about my application, no file number have been received. Documents were required to be sent to the CIO Nova Scotia as per the new rules.

Once they receive the documents and assess eligibility, they issue you a file number Bxxxx or Exxxx and a letter via email. It's when their doing this, at sometime, you can check your status online.

After they're done with this they send your file back to your local VO - in this case London.

So .... you need to write to them @ the CIO to see if they've actually received your file, first.

Hi Bloody mary, most of the september applicants have received their AOR/ PER. A few are remaining. Yuo can check from our spreadsheet here.

CIC will forward the application to respective VO once a PER/AOR is send to the applicant. So if your agent is saying that your file has been sent to VO then he must have your AOR with the reference number on it. If he doesnt have this info then he does not know what he is talking.

i think it is now time for Manila VO applicant who received 2nd AOR from the VO to tell us what is writing there

i think they may find that the file had been received by the VO on the date of the 2nd AOR let's wait and see what will happen

we are waiting for Nursemich and the other 2 friends who got the 2nd AOR to answer that
