Actually I was wrong in my last post, it seems they only assessed the fact I had Arranged Employment rather than Work Experience. Canady had it right with how it works. If you're Cat 2, they check you and verify your arranged employment, if you're Cat 1, they verify your work experience. In the email I got it says "Based on a review of the information you have provided, your application has received a positive final determination of eligibility for processing on the basis of:", then after that there are 2 boxes "Work experience in an occupation specified [in the Cat 1 list]" and "Arranged Employment in Canada". "Arranged Employment in Canada" has an X next to it. For me, that was by providing a photocopy of the Work Permit I'm currently on.
I'm assuming though that past this stage, if there's anything they're not happy with I'll get a Doc request rather than it being returned to me though, so this is a big relief. Congrats to everyone else who got their PERs!
For sure! However they have to remain robot-like otherwise everyone would bombard them with questions and try to convince them to let them in the country etc. so I can understand why it might feel very soulless. Deep down I believe they are a profoundly fair organization though, as most government organizations are in Canada.
