Sorry to hear your case Candajimmy.
I guess this means you are the first one is this thread who is denied from receiving AOR/PER even after CC/BD encashment.

Jimmy's unfortunate experience raises more questions... Do they now contact you by email to let you know your application has been denied, or did they do that because this was an FSW2 application?

Well until an FSW1 applicant reports a rejection via email, I guess we will not know.

I have heralded this as a silver lining to a dark cloud, because at least if they email you about rejections you will find out faster than the weeks or even months it will take them to get the application back to you!

Does anyone know what happen with lafaneh (he's the 4th in spreadsheet)? What's with red names?

Btw, I don't have a feeling that today is going to be THE DAY for me... :)

Cheers

As I understand it lafaneh wrote to CIO, and they replied simply telling him that his application was under review, so he still does not know if he passed or failed the eligibility review.

The red names are users who haven't been active for a while. After a period of inactivity they are removed from the spreadsheet in order that our figures aren't skewed.

Were you able to get any better information from CIO, or are they still like "we can't tell you yet"?

I don't have any information so far, I will wait a while to see if I get respond from CIO. After those cases with applications returned after 3 months, I still believe we're in the game because we've sent ours 4 months ago and it wasn't returned. Am I optimist or not? :)

Your bank draft was cashed, so you passed the completeness check. The only applicant we know of who was notified of a failure after completeness check was CanadaJimmy and he got an email explaining why.

If you look at your timelines you will see there was a small delay cashing your cheque compared with the other applicants around you so this is perhaps why you are slightly behind. Chin up, hopefully you will get PER very soon!

Hi Akrum,

Congrats! I have updated your details on the spreadsheet. Just to confirm, our spreadsheet said your application was received 18 August but you have said 26 Aug, can you please confirm which is correct?

This is progress since it means CIC are starting to do up to 26 August 2010 received dates, meaning they will be starting September applications soon. Of course we don't expect these PERs to come in exact received date order but it is nice to see general patterns.

As for the "next step", we believe visa office will write to you for medical requests, since CIO have already done the final eligibility review, unless they want more information. Either way the next thing you hear should be from your visa office.

Wayne.

Ok I moved your app back into the correct position. I already did inform you of the next step, as we understand it, if all goes well the next thing you will hear will be visa office asking you to do medicals. We believe this will be by regular post. But we're not 100% or have any idea of the timescales for this until the first few people report it happening.

Just to try to keep things accurate and tidy I have deleted all members whose name are in red up until 18th August received date. There were 5 or 6 entries. If these members become active again it is a small matter to add them back in.

Great, that is better.

I'll keep tracking the members in our tracker sheet & will report the removed members from the forum & the inactive members as well.
