Thanks Sonir, Rayon, Pinakini for replies.

I've checked with DMP and they confirmed that Meds were dispatched via D2D courier on 22nd Nov and received by VO on 25th. I've already sent them 2 case specific enquirys, 2 general enquiry, 1 fax and 1 courier. But NO reply from there end.

What should be my next step?

Hey Wayne,

Wish you and your wife a very quick settling in :)

I am sure things will settle down eventually and wish you a bright future ahead :) :)

We were contemplating between Toronto and Vancouver for landing, so my husband and me were looking for places to rent for a couple and two teens. So could you please inform us of the costs involved for a family of 4 and the job opportunities for myself and my husband (operations and service) in Vancouver

Thanks in advance ;D

Regards
Nokiadesire

I think.. I can shed some light here for you.

Here is the deal.

Toronto Vs Vancouver: Both are expensive places to live. Vancouver is little more when compared to Toronto. I can confirm this with a article that was recently published in news papers here. Vancouver Real estate market has come to its peak and running on a bubble where as toronto isn't. This can easily confirm many things if you look at financial-Economic-City relations.. Big term.. understood. So, cost of living in Vancouver is little more than toronto.

Now, coming to the main point: It all depends on profession too. Please include primary applicant's profession also in mind while deciding on place to settle. Do your home work on this.

Another main point for YOU is: You have two teens kids who has to attend school. So, Check out for a good school as well.

Both places are heavily crowded with Indians which means you will find indian stuff like grocerries as well very easily. Any info required, dont hesitate to send a message to me. People who are already in canada will know about lot of info related to settling here. Do ask them (including me). Dont hesitate.

All the best.

Regards,
satya.

Hi forum friends!

My brother in law also wants to apply for PR. Im posting his query, if any one can guide.

(I am fashion graduate and working as a garment production manager and product manager from past 6-7 years as a free lancer. Also I am associated few companies where I visit as a trainer for staff in the same trade. Here I would like to ask do I qualify to immigrate to Canada presently? Also if some one can guide me the way through. )

regards,
kg

Very simple.

Please check CIC website if you qualify. Qualification process involves many items.

Most importantly, NOC: Your occupation should be listed in NOC list. You should get atleast minimum points: 67.

Check CIC website.

Thanks,
satyal

Param have you checked the AWB no. given by your DMP your self or you are believing on DMPs words!

Did you ask DMP about all reports if all reports are normal?

Do you have some details still left with you which VO might be looking for. (medical or pp related)

Have you checked with your postman about any post from NDVO.

What I can understand is that even if they do a background check they will OK the Medicals and put a medical received line. which is still pending in your case.

Sonir,

What is AWB?

If it is AirWayBill, then does it mean that Med Reports are sent to CIO and not VO.

AWB / Docket No / Courier No. all are same...I mean I personally use this term (AWB)

Medical reports are sent at CHC only but inside their office there is another office of their DMPs who check candidates reports... so it is sent to VO only.

However if further detailed diagnosis of the case is required they send it to CIO / CIC for better consultation.

Haven’t been at this forum for quite a while, had a baby couple of weeks ago :)

Now finalising our baby’s paper work to be sent to LVO, and please God things will move faster.

Checked with our bank - RPRF draft has been cashed three weeks after we sent it in November, which is great news!
