Ours was received by "Paul", shame we didn't get a surname because then we could at least corelate with other people to convince ourselves it had actually gone to the correct place!
Hmm, quite a few people on the Britishexpats forum say they had their application received by "Glen".

Wonder if it's the same person? Glen Miller... I wonder if he plays his trumpet when the application arrives? :)

Wayne.

I have also read that some applications are also received by one Paul. I think Glen is G.Miller or Glen Miller!

hey guys

did anybody got 1st aor for applicants who have submitted their documents after 26/6.

Hi,

Please help me with the form Schedule 3 - Economic Class

Question 10 of the form asks you "Amount of unencumbered available and transferable funds you have in Canadian Dollar" - what do we write there, the mandatory POF or should we write our net worth assets in canadian dollar????????

It depends on family members included in the applications. The amount could be in your local currency equivelant to canadian dollars. It is mandatory to write POF not net worth assets.

Hi - to my knowledge nobody here has yet received an AOR, but several members have had contact from CIC with various discrepancies on their application, and also one member has been told that his RPRF is Mexican currency is not acceptable (but I think his app is still considered to be acceptable because RPRF is not payable until you get past processing).

So there's strong evidence that CIC are now at least looking at the post-June 26 applications. For actual AORs they may send them out in a large batch, perhaps once per month or so. I am hopeful that new applications will start hearing things soon, and also once CIC have finished processing pre-June 26 applications they will have more resource with which to deal with the new applications.

July and August are slow months at CIC and VO since they have staff on holidays, and also heavy load due to student visas. Now we are in September I am hopeful things will speed up! :)

hey guys

there is big confusion about documents to be sent to CIO.
In the CIO checklist we only need to send original IELTS.
Where as some body is saying that we need to send every thing along with our initial application to CIO except PCC.
Plz suggest, I am having a big confusion about it.

New Delhi VO checklist says send all ur documents to CIO (except PCC)...Does it mean we will NOT be required to send again any documents (Except PCC)required on ND VO checklist i.e. work experience reference letter, POF bank certificate, university-sealed original transcripts?
what if u had already sent ORIGINAL PCC to CIO?
Can anybody in Canada pls call CIO for clarifying this....
thanks

it's written In NS instructions guide (page 40) That PCC is valid for 12 months. If final decision not made before expiry of ur PCC, VO will ask for a new one, regards.

CIO checklist is basically:
- Forms
- Payment
- IELTS test
- Copy of principal applicant's passport
- 2 self-addressed mailing labels

Your VO specific checklist will then ask probably for other passports (spouse etc) and all other supporting documentation (work experience, photographs, educational documents, proof of funds etc).

You send the entire package with both checklists to CIC. CIC will then check that you have everything and it all looks in order, and then will mail it to the VO you requested on your forms. The VO will then ask for the PCC certificate at some point when you go into processing.

Several people (including myself) sent PCC certificates with the original application because London checklist wasn't amended until 30th August, prior to this it asked for the certificates to be included.

Thank you, of course I will write the mandatory POF, in my case 3 members so 17000 CAD, but my query is should we write only this POF or should I write the net worth if it is more than the POF.

If it's any help - our mandatory amount was $13,801 for 2 members, we declared on the form we'd be taking a minimum of $15,000 over. But we showed proof that we had over $30,000 equity in our property. We're declaring a lower amount than we have to give us breathing room incase house prices fall and also to cover costs of selling house and relocating.
