Guys, Finally found out a way to open an account in a Canadian bank before you land there.

Check this out. There are some terms and conditions as always. But it is possible. I am in Ireland and there is no Canadian bank here and so it was getting difficult. People in India can do it with lot of canadian banks in the big cities. This is for people who do not have a canadian bank in their place of living.

Hi members,

My VO is Singapore. I am a post June 26 (MI-2) applicant and currently in RBVO stage since April 2011. It has been nearly 7 and half months in RBVO. Can you tell me when I might get 'In Process' stage in ECAS? What is going on with London visa office, Buffalo, Singapore, New Delhi VOs? Are there many MI-2 applicants like me waiting in RBVO for around 8 months? Are there considerable number of applicants who got 'In Process' after being in RBVO for 7-9 months? I am just asking to estimate when I might get In Process. Spreadsheet timelines look confusing.

That's medical results now at London VO,all is ok with them. They were signed for today ,can anyone tell me how long it normally is until your ecas changes to medicals received after the VO receives them.There is lots going on in the forum just now,congratulations Mew2 k10 and to all others who received good news ,goodluck to all who is waiting. :-*

Well, in my case it took them more than 3 months to change Ecas...
But Ecas is just a string to hold on to and nothing accurate.

My application was RBVO since April 4, 2011 and AOR was dated April 7, 2011.

It has recently turned "IN PROCESS" exactly after 8 long months, on December 5, 2011. The processing date is mentioned as December 2, 2011. Very glad with this and now eagerly awaiting MR and other requests

Plz also update the status on the spreadsheet.

Yes, there definitely are!! I applied on Oct 1, 2010; got RBVO April 4, 2011 and got IN PROCESS only on December 5, 2011 - that is exactly 8 months... So although I know it is hard to be patient, it is the only resort!!
