Applications after 26/6 in any NOC CONNECT HERE TO GET THE STATUS

Hi all! Hope everyone is doing fine. My hearty congrats to whoever has recently got good news.

I have a Q; one of our fellow forumers who has completed his Meds on Sep13th,has received today an email from Warsaw asking for the RFRF and the copy of the passports (not the passports themselves). His visa office was originally Damascus and then the file was transferred to Warsaw and is being processed there because of the unrest in Damascus.
Does anyone have some idea on why he has been asked for the copies of the PPs instead of the original PPs?

I have a vague recollection of a Pakistani applicant here whose file was being processed in London. He/she too had been asked for the copies of PPs and if I'm not mistaken he/she had received instructions later to take the original passports to Canadian embassy in Islamabad/Pakistan to get the visa. Does anybody remember the case and the name of the applicant I'm talking about? Did he/she receive the visa?

I have a query regarding proof of funds: In India we have HDFC Forex Plus card, State Bank has Vishwa Yatra card. Usually these cards are taken by travellers for expenses abroad. They serve the purpose of a credit card abroad. Can these cards along with the local bank statement do the job of showing proof of funds?

No, I will not take a chance. As you mentioned that these cards serve as CREDIT cards, there is actually no evidence that the money in there is actually yours (even though you might have proofs) and might be a point of argument at POE. IMO, dont take a chance.

2)Did you get the interview call when you were RBVO or In Process??

I am asking as I got verification call when I was RBVO and then my status changed to In Process after 10 days... I wanna know I am still open for an Interview?

Paramvir,

You have a status of In processs with RBVO details, indicating that you could still be in line for an interview if there was any discepancy in the queries put forth during the verification call.or any doubts still persisting in the mind of the VO. You are still not through for a MR. You will have to wait for some more time till your Ecas reads "We reviewed your application and started processing....". I hope this helps. friend

My medicals done on 08/10/11 and documents sent on 14/10/11. I have not received any reply from NDVO but "medicals received" line was added on 22/10/11 then I inquired to bank about DD encased and it was encased on 29/10/11.

My question is does a case specific query delay my DM or not

Why three days and not 1 day as your DD encased on 27 oct and mine is on 29 oct so if your DM was done on 6 Nov then I can expect on 08 Nov for my DM

No I didn't get any call anytime. I was called for an interview while I was still in RBVO and was put IN PROCESS a week after my interview.

My guess is anyone who hasn't got an MR is open for an interview call irrespective of whether he/she is in RBVO or IN PROCESS.

Hi fellow forum mates,

I submitted my initial application on nov 2010.medicals done on 21 aug 2011,pcc,rprf and pof submitted on 7 sept 2011.I requested bank draft thru rakbank.I inquired on when it was encashed by receiver general for canada but they said they cannot track it, please advise.thanks in advance.

Well John,
Getting maple leaf in hand is the only 100% gurantee of getting a visa. As you will find that there will be one or two cases who get into trouble even with RPRF encahsed. But then they are one or two amoungst few hundred thousand apps the CIC process every year. So the answer is probably yes, you will go thru if your DD for RPRF is encashed.

I just came back from a visit to my relatives. Firstly I would like to thank sethiji for his support thru all the tough times of being a AEO applicant(the scrutiny part), Mitali, moabbasi,canadestin,sonir, please mind me if i have missed anybody. Its this forum members who have helped me to remain sane thru all the anxiety during this immigration process. I still have butterflies in my stomach as i have'nt received my passports.
