Dear all who applied for the CAIPS notes,

I want to apply for the CAIPS notes. One of my cousin is living in Canada. I would like to know whether he can apply for the CAIPS notes on my behalf? What would be the procedure, charges and duration in that case?

Thank you very much in advance!

I am not sure about NDVO but i had submitted 6 month old PCC for Singapore where i used to live 6 years ago fro few years. London VO accpeted them. I had declared that i have not travelled to Singapore since i left it in 2005. Maybe NDVO guys can give you better picture.

Any forummates living in Ireland (Emma?) openend a Canadian bank account from Ireland (North or south)? Do let me know any infor that you may have on this.

Thanks

I think from UK u can get PCC in 10 days or Premium service in 2days.

this the CIC weblink for obtaining PCC from UK...whether u live in UK or outside UK

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/police-cert/europe/united-kingdom.asp

U can also find the procedure in CIC website for USA...but the time frame is not given.

And also send email NDVO regarding this.

I am also interested in this. I also need to know at what stage can we open the account. Do we need to have the Visa PR in place or can we do that in anticipation of the PR? I am worried about the ongoing fall in the value of the Euro against the $. I hope all our PoSF would not have been reduced to nothing by the time we are ready to head to Canada.

Ignore it. It's an age old standard letter format that they are using. Just carry the required number of photos and you will be fine.

Good luck !!!

PCC should have been issued no more than three months before you submit your application.

you have submitted ur application in FEB ....so if ther were issued After Nov 2010 then i guess there wont be any problem.

Thank you for the informative articles Advance123. The doors are being shut, I have always known this, and now I can almost feel it. The question is, which side of the doors do we (post June 2010 applicants) find ourselves when they are shut. The positive here is, each one of us on this forum has already submitted an application that has been accepted by CIC.

I personally think they will process us, meaning the 1 million in waiting. Becaue if you refund 1 mil people an average of $500 for their application, that would be $500 mil in refunds... JMO.

Cam

are they going to stop the processing of current applications and start from 2003? :o

It took me just under a month to receive it via e-mail (thanks to some valiant efforts by my requester).
Read the next post for details.

Here you go:

Courtesy: Mitali

If you are living in Canada you can order your CAIPS notes or on behalf of someone else for $5 under the Privacy Act.

1) http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5563E.pdf
This is the latest form for requesting CAIPS. It has the option of Credit card payment.
Complete the form:

a) Visa post (e.g. Buffalo, NY etc.)
b) File number (e.g. BXXXX..)
c) Date of Birth
d) Your Postal address (In Canada address only)

2) Check on the box for the CAIPS or GCCMS notes request in the form.

3) Provide a photocopy of your valid legal stay in Canada (Work permit/visa or details of PR /Citizenship in Canada (Person requesting).

4) Write a cover letter requesting the notes (Person who requests writes that).
5) Consent letter from all the people in the PR application above the age of 18.
6) Write a cover letter (Authorization letter with the details of the person who would get it for you)
7) http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/imm5476e.pdf
Fill the above form as well.
Cool Scanned copies are accepted, so you can scan and send all your docs to your relative in Canada.
9) Credit card payment form :

IMM 5667 (04-2011) E
10) Your relative can email them all the docs along with his cover letter to
atip-aiprp @ cic.gc.ca
Or Post it to:
