Whenever the CIC propose new rules, they hold the applications which are still in process for a long period.

In 2003 CIC prpose new rules and all the applications filed before June 2003 are kept on hold. Many cases are still pending till date.

In 2008 CIC prpose new rules and al the applications filed before Feb 2008 are kept on Hold. Many cases are still pending till date.

In 2010 CIC prpose new rules and al the applications filed before June 2010 are kept on Hold. Many cases are still pending till date.

In 2011 CIC prpose new rules..............so????

Your observation is correct......hope CIC does not mess up this time (2011) by creating another BACKLOG. I think they will have a lot of Political pressures, if they did create another backlog.They have been given enough time (probably, from our perspective....but not their's) to put their act together. However, it is just my observation, that CIC has improved in some ways that we don't want to acknowledge...subtle changes have been taking place in the background.

The answers to questions as to - why some VO's are consistent and others are not or why some are taking way too much time to process, are somewhat vaguely understood by us. At the end, its their SHOW and we have just paid them and have to bear the SHOW even if it is not palatable; unless we decide to leave the SHOW and let our hard earned money go down the drains.

Good news!!

Today I received MR, RPRF & request for updated Police certs for Ireland and the UK. The letter came from CHC London by regular mail. I have 90 days to reply.

I'm not sure when it was sent as I'm currently in Toronto on holiday.

Hey fellas, I checked with my bank and they told me my money order for RPRF was cashed on Aug 04, 2011 and it was received by Buffalo on Aug 01, 2011. They took four days to cash it. Just thought I should let you guys know so you can get an idea.

Prior Information on file: Ecas was showing "RBVO" since 8th July,2011

1. Received AOR from NDVO dated 3rd Aug.....(Maybe slow,but working)
2. Postal mail received at the address on 10th Aug (7 days in transit...not bad)
3. Gist of the message in the letter from VO:

a. Confirmation that NDVO has received the FULL package
b. NDVO will take 10 months to finalize from the date received at VOi.e from 3rd Aug,2011
c. Contact NDVO after 6months, if there is no communication from VO
d. If there is a need for Interview, VO will contact 1 month before the Interview date
Ecas was showing "RBVO" since 8th July,2011

This is my suggestion for NDVO applicants:

1.To wait patiently for 6 months from the date of AOR from NDVO (We all know that for sure....stale news!!!!)
2.If one does not hear anything by the end of 5th month, order for CAIPS....because you will get just one month to prepare for Interview and it takes 1month to process an application of CAIPS.

I could almost hear your "Helooo" from the other side of the world. Thanks.

Don't worry...keep a watchful eye on your mail. The mail might take couple of more days to reach you depending on which part of the country you live in and how GOOD the postal services are. Also,be informed that many past NDVO applicants have not received AOR's from their VO....which is quite stressful. If you can see RBVO on ecas, then you have no other choice but to continue making some guesses, but be assured that your file is with your VO.

I HAVE APPLIED FOR PR IN FEBRUARY 2011. I GOT MY 2 AOR. VISA OFFICE ND

I HAVE NOT SENT PCC WITH MY APPLICATION . I WANT TO APPLY FOR PCC. I CAME TO KNOW THAT IT IS TAKING 45 - 60 DAYS TO GET PCC FROM MY PASSPORT OFFICE IN MY CITY (HYDERABAD).

I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHAT IS THE TIME FREAME GIVEN IF PCC IS REQUESTED BY NDVO.

ALSO I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF I GET INTERVIEW CALL, DO I NEED TO CARRY PASSPORT WITH ME? I AM ASKING THIS BECAUSE IF I APPLY FOR PCC AND IN BETWEEN IF I GET INTERVIEW CALL WHAT SHOPULD I DO?

Seeing the pace at that time (In may) I thought i will get Interview Call / MR in few days..and i was worried that if i apply for PCC(PP should be submitted) i will not be able to attend Interview / Take Medical test as PP is required for both.
